Extremely disappointed with the customer service at the pharmacy counter at the back of the shop. They truly seem understaffed but are still taking paid appointments and NHS customers for the flu jab.
We got there 15 minutes ahead of our booked flu jab slot. The only member of staff at the counter was trying to deal with at least 4 customers (who seems to be new at the job, and that is totally ok, as people need to start from somewhere) kept asking questions to their pharmacy colleague("s?" - as we could not see how many ppl hiding at the back of the pharmacy, behind the piles of medication) to clarify customers queries at the counter.
She then spoke to us. We paid for our jabs. She gave us a risk assessment form to fill ,which we did quickly but she then disappeared, as she was also dealing with other queries. 20 minutes later and 4 more other customers arrived (all free NHS jabs) who were also waiting for their jabs.
The person responsible for administering the flu jab finally came down... She looked quite scruffy, (we understand everyone can have a bad day), overwhelmed, and started calling the people that arrived after us and had no appointment booked to have their flu jabs... (That is ok, you are already waiting, one of two people in front of you, so be it...)
When "our turn came", she had given the jab to my partner first, who then left the room so I could come in to have mine done.
Fair enough pharmacies have to make-do with the space that is given to them when they rent the space, but it was a extremely small room. It literally fitted two narrow chairs and a really small table, no windows. Extremely claustrophobic.
The desk itself, extremely disorganised, piles of paper all over it. I then noticed that she was using the same pair gloves for the previous customers, my husband and myself and quite possibly, would be using the same gloves for the following customers.
She had the end of a cotton ball on the table, clearly already ripped from before. Table clearly had not been wiped clean. She then rips this left over of the cotton ball and places on my arm after the jab applied. There was no visible sterilisation of her hands, nor new gloves, neither the area she was working on, my arm, nothing. The place looked nasty and dirty. Untidy.
I understand they could potentially be short staffed, as other customers were also complaining whilst waiting to be served/seen, so it is down to Superdrug Head Office to sort this out and give the staff better working conditions, which can reflect on the customer service and the cleanliness of, at least, the pharmacy premises.
At a pharmacy, at least some sort standard of cleanliness is to be expected. I wish I had taken pictures of the particular room I was talking about, as it was disgusting. I wish I had said no to have the jab administered, but I had already paid for it and by then, as mentioned previously, was waiting for almost half hour.
Unfortunately, a very bad experience, not going back there, specially for a flu jab.
I do hope Superdrug's Head Office get their act together and provide support to the pharmacy staff of that branch so they can be able to perform to a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWalked in looking a certain concealer; as per usual with Superdrug some staff member stands at the entrance looking at you for no particular reason, just gawping, anyway i look for the makeup product and since the shelves are so poorly stocked i open the draw below the shelves to find the item, Iām not rummaging or making a mess when the gawper at the door comes up at me and tells me to āget my hands out of thereā and if i need to look in there to ask, i tell her why Iām looking in the draw and she still proceeds to shut it on me rather than taking the hint that she should āgrant me permissionā - after that horrid interaction i want to leave the shop since she made me feel so uncomfortable, nonetheless i go to the desk and and buy some wrong product (for the badly stocked shelves) and pay, whilst at the till i ask the cashier if the staff who stand at the door and do precisely nothing all day get payed for that, obviously feeling Iāve outed her useless colleagues sheās says nothing, though Iām clearly owed an apology by her rude colleague In conclusion i will avoid this branch in future because of the poor customer service (and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreNot completely happy with my trip to Super drug Bracknell. Bought 3 pieces of make up, the other month, which meant I could have a palette free. When I get to the tills they say that there is no more palettes left however they will be getting a delivery in a week or so. Come back 3 times is the last month to see if they've received the make up but they said they hadn't received it yet! I go in the 4th time and they tell me the offer had run out and that I can no longer get the pallete. They said the best they could do was a bag... Which looks like its worth 25p and also smells really bad... The woman was quite rude to me as well. They have a reduction stand which has broken make up on. My sister found a pallete with broken glass. Every time she goes in she hands it to a lady and tells them this is dangerous and for safety reason should not be selling this (bare in mind she is 11). The next time she goes in the store. The lady has just put it back on the reduction stand. They clearly don't care if someone get hurt... Don't really trust this store anymore and won't...
