This is my favourite regular haunt. Always an interesting selection of craft beers and ciders, and cocktails for the non beer drinkers. Although they don’t do a daily food menu any more, there are lots of really fun ad-hoc collaborations with local food providers such as Odd Pals and The Orange House. Bring your own vinyl DJ sessions on Sunday afternoons are also a great vibe.

An excellent selection of UK craft beers makes the Boot a great addition to the local scene. Ever-changing range with a dedicated Salopian cask on offer, along with Lost & Grounded's Keller Pils lager and Deya's Steady Rolling Man pale ale on the keg lines. There is also a fridge chock-full of canned beers to try - either drink in or takeaway.

The Boot Micropub is a modern style bar with an excellent range of beers larger and cider, including hand-pulled cask conditioned real ales, and there is a wide range of bottled continental beers. There is an outsider seating area at the front of the pub. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable about the beers they have, its a good pub.

My wife , son and I have now visited the recently renovated and reopened Boot twice this month (July 2023) . The Boot feels more comfortable and inviting once inside . The quality of the real ales ( they now have 5) continues to be superb and are a delight to sample . The Boot also has a small number of chairs and tables outside in the pedestrianised space.

A friendly and welcoming small bar now offer snack food as well. Easy access and great real ales!

Old Review I visited The Boot Micropub for the first time on a preview night on the evening of Thursday 07 July 2022. The Boot has the same feeling as its 'sister' pub The Coracle in Ironbridge with an intimate bar area for about 30 people.

The bar is in a corner location of the pedestrianised market square ( opposite the Walnut) . It is planning to have outdoor seating on the pavement around the outside of the bar.

On entering The Boot the bar is on the far right handside with a unisex toilet on the rear left handside. It is offering 4 real ales plus a real cider with a great selection of unusual and ever changing beers on offer. It also has many keg lines plus a can fridge.

Parking is a short walk away - I parked in Belmont / Tan Bank which is usually very quiet on the evenings and another one the Swimming Pool car park is also quite close (all public car parks in Wellington are free although you have to get a free ticket from a machine for some . Limited disabled parking is available in a few on street parking bays on Church Street opposite the Wellington Orbit Community Cinema and Cafe about 25 metres from the Boot Micropub.

A wonderful and unique addition to the real ale scene highly...

After being recommended by a friend, it was a real disappointment. Love the actual venue and atmosphere, but the beer really let the place down. First pint was really good, but the second was cloudy (end of the barrel). This was replaced, but this was also cloudy (worse this time). Problem was obviously that a couple of pints needed pulling thost to clear the pipes. However, the chap behind the bar just said the barrel was a new one. We ended up having something else, but not what I'd expect from somewhere serving real ale....
