We called in on a Sunday just after 12 and ordered the ham, egg and chips which comes with a drink as it was one of their special offers. It was reasonably busy for a Sunday but we were given our meals after about a 10 minute wait. It arrived with 3 pieces of ham around 12 chips and no eggs. The waitress was about to leave when I asked where the eggs were and she replied they had no eggs and we should have been told when we ordered it, she then said that we had been given extra ham instead. Apologised and walked off. A customer behind me said they do have eggs as he had just had two. I chased after the waitress and repeated that they did have eggs and I was not happy. She said that she would get the manager. Next thing the same waitress appeared with just 2 eggs, when we were supposed to have 2 each and one of the eggs looked like it had been cooked half an hour ago. So off she went to get the manager. I must admit the lady manager was very polite and said we should have been told when ordering but as I explained I ordered on the App. I kept one of the eggs as the chips were going cold and the manager came back 5 minutes later with 3 more eggs and said that they had been keeping the eggs back to ensure they had enough for the breakfasts. Our drinks finally appeared after 20 minutes, with no apology for the wait. I cannot fault the manager but I cannot understand the reasoning behind the egg fiasco as I then went on the app again and I could still order the same meal. We have been to many Wetherspoons in our time and this one on many occasions, but this must rate as our worst...

1)The prices have gone up recently but with all the fuel & food prices increasing in the shops I'm not surprised. Good value compared to other places, usual Wetherspoons menu. My 6yr old grandson was very disappointed there wasn't any pizza on the menu (he's had it in another Wetherspoons in Telford).

2)Another visit here today & we both had the Quorn wraps with chips, very pleased with our food today.

3)Today's visit was just for a coffee with my husband. Great place to stop off for a break while shopping in Wellington. £1.25 for a hot drink with free refills - can't really go wrong

  1. Yet another visit and today we both had Quorn wraps, one with a side of chips and one with a side salad. Good value and included our drinks - but don't expect many chips if you have it as a side order!

  2. visited here this morning (13/07/24) for veggie breakfast, I ordered an extra grilled tomato as I can't eat baked beans for extra 52p, these I gave to my husband - breakfast was very nice but a little cool.

CAN I SUGGEST WETHERSPOONS THAT YOU MAKE SURE ALL FOOD IS SERVED TO CUSTOMERS HOT and YOUR MENU INCLUDES AN ALTERNATIVE TO BAKED BEANS PLEASE.....

22/10/24 Today I ordered the breaded vegetable burger with chips, good burger just a shame it was overcooked hence giving 4*'s instead of 5. Overall happy with my meal. Disabled toilet was ok but really think the room needs to be updated also can't understand why it's never that clean when there's a chart on the back of the door with signatures on for regular checks and cleaning, this ...

I’m a huge fan of wetherspoons nationwide however I have never heard so many bad things about a member of staff anywhere! The supervisor Verity/Valerie has a reputation about herself, throwing customers out seemingly to close early, throwing accusations at people without evidence and banning people from the premises for no valid reason! I am a local to Wellington, Telford, and I’m familiar with all the pubs in the area and they are a delight. HR need to look into this staff member... I will say though, I have been here myself and the other members of staff are absolutely fantastic! Very friendly with a smile on their face, it’s a shame that someone lets down the team. It is really off putting hearing such a thing from Wellington locals, it makes me not want to go there..

The building is accessible with a downstairs loo for those with disabilities, I thought this needed to be mentioned and overall the building is well kept and quite clean, food is good with...

A surprise in the center of Wellington. A pleasant one in a town that is sadly lacking in some TLC. The food was good properly cooked and served hot as it should be. Waitress was pleasant and friendly too. This is a big place and has had a very good nicely styled refurbishment in recent times. Wellington should be happy that a large company like Wetherspoons has invested in the area. It's a great pub. A nice place to be... A nice place for all the family, all ages to enjoy food and social drinks together. Everyone else should up there game in the area... A coat of paint costs very little. Unfortunately Telford & wrekin council throw all the money at the new town center neglecting the towns that essentially make up original Telford .

Find yourself a table and order through the app. Food and drink are cheap and cheerful. We had breakfast for two with hot drinks which came to about £10. Options for Vegan for both breakfast and lunch. Unlimited refills for hot drinks. Dispenser at the back of the pub. Service was quick at this venue in Wellington. Pancakes weren't particular hot though they were fine with the cold fruit. Toilets also towards the back of the venue.

Excellent quality food. Very friendly young efficient staff. As a visitor to Telford, I was very interested in the information about William withering, and the old pictures of blist Hill, and the birth of the Industrial Revolution. It was one of the most informative weatherspoons I have been in. Excellent choice of real ales that i had not had before.
