The buccaneer takes its name from the aircraft built at the Brough Aerospace factory. It's a lovely traditional pub with a good range of beers, lagers, and cider, including some good hand pulled cask conditioned real ales. The staff are nice and friendly. There is a good food menu And the pub grub is excellent.

Excellent traditional pub. Tasty homemade food and Timothy Taylor Landlord on draught. Friendly service too.

We chose this for lunch prior to a cruise as it enabled us to travel up from Essex in the morning and relax until it was time to board. It turned out to be an excellent choice, plenty of parking, good food at value for money prices, friendly staff and regulars. We had the "two for ten" menu which with coffee came to £14.50 for the two of us. You can also eat a la carte.

It is convenient for either the cruise port or the ferry terminal as you can allow some contingency time which you can use up over your meal; the pub is only 27 minutes from the port gates. If coming in to Hull on the A63, turn off at the South Cave exit and head south. Return at the next junction (Welton Road) so only a small detour is needed.

Highly...

It's the first pub you go past coming off the train making it a great pick up point. It lacks in a good beer garden but when the weather's nice the front seating is great even next to the road. Great Tetley's beer and a good Sunday roast. Really needs some money spent on the...
