Clarence Park. Cricket Pavilion dating from 1882, now used as a second hand bike repair shop with picnic tables outside.Previously if memory serves me correctly, a football net for adolectent youth to take countless pot shots upon, a smoking point where youths could gleefully eat and litter and urinate behind. I suppose the craftsmen from 1882 who built it would be proud. "Hooray for future people " ! they would sing. Thankgod the council took over Rebecca Davies donation to the people of Weston otherwise it would have gone to rack and ruin. Anyhoo! It's a dog walkers paradise, all year round. In the summer it has music events and other Fates and Fayres. Cricket and Croquet are played, Football, and Rugby. It has a good communal feel to it. It's bordered stone wall is lined with pine and fir, redwoods and some oak and other species of established. trees alot of which must be well over 50 years old. But be prepared for litter. Rebecca Davies would be Mortified..in summary a great place used by many. Abused by? many. I am only reviewing the half of Clarence park I go in. There is another part over the road. Of which I've been in once for two minutes. Too use the toilet. I believe there is a cafe. Which someone told me is "very nice". There's a fish...

The park is great for dogs and children with a separate fenced off playground. Also the squirrels have become tame because lots of people feed them, so much so that the cafe has been banned from selling squirrel food. Over the past couple of years we’ve had a few social meetings in the park so we weren’t breaking the Covid restrictions. I’m so lucky to have such great facilities...
