As a regular visitor to All Stars in Weston-super-Mare, I’ve always enjoyed the venue for its comfortable atmosphere and facilities. However, my experience on Tuesday evening left me extremely disappointed, particularly with the poor attitude and customer service displayed by the staff.
My daughter, her partner, and I arrived well ahead of the Brentford vs. Man City match to enjoy a game of darts, drinks, and the overall lively atmosphere. Initially, everything went smoothly—the game was on, and we were happy. But partway into the match, the screen was changed to show other football games, despite the fact that there was no visible audience for them. When I enquired about putting the Brentford game back on, I was told it could only be displayed on a smaller screen in the bar area. This was fine, and I appreciated the compromise.
However, within minutes, that screen was also changed, and we were left unable to watch the match. When I politely requested the game to be reinstated, the staff member in glasses was dismissive and unhelpful. Her attitude suggested she had little interest in resolving the issue or providing a satisfactory experience for paying customers. Her response to my request to reconsider was essentially, “No, we can’t.” When I made it clear I would leave due to the poor service, her response was indifferent and unapologetic: “Oh, okay, then you leave.”
This level of disregard for loyal customers is unacceptable. I frequent All Stars because it has always been a great place to watch football, but this encounter has made me seriously reconsider my future visits. Customer service is just as important as the facilities, and this experience has shown a glaring gap in staff training and hospitality.
To management: I suggest prioritising staff training and ensuring that your team understands the importance of accommodating customer needs and maintaining professionalism. Loyal customers like myself value consistency and respect, and unfortunately, both were sorely lacking on...
Read moreHave visited many times, usually to play the interactive darts which we have always enjoyed. However, visited yesterday and had food for the first time and encountered a number of issues, mainly caused by the staff members. We ordered 4 dirty burgers and a dish of 16 chicken strips and fries. The first burger was fine, however the other 3 didn’t have the nacho cheese, no big deal of course but we asked the staff if we could just have the cheese put on them as ordered. One burger came out 3 separate times without the cheese on it, the staff members not once apologising. Then when the other two burgers came out the staff member explained that we hadn’t ordered dirty burgers and called us liars, I stated we definitely did order cheese for our burgers and asked if there was an issue with the tills system maybe, as two separate employees had made the same mistake. She again called us liars, insinuating that we were trying to get out of paying the extra £1 for the cheese which is insane, we would of course just pay the extra money to get what we ordered. We had already spent over £100 here on food and drinks combined. I asked where the chicken strips and fries were that we were waiting on and the staff member looked at the table next to us and then stated that those customers had stolen our food. They had not stolen our food at all, another all stars employee had given them our order so we would now have to wait again for one of the meals to come out. Not a single employee apologised for the mistakes at any point, the food was cold by the time it had all be sorted out and we were treated appallingly by the staff for no reason whatsoever. Dishes of coleslaw which were meant to come with all burgers were also missing from all our plates but we didn’t bother asking for these in fear of the rude staff. If you want to watch sports I would recommend going to the other all stars in town where the staff are friendly and useful, unlike at this venue. We...
Read moreWent here a few days ago with my partner and a group that she works with; a sort of pre-Christmas evening event.
We started with the 10 pin bowling. They don't require special shoes, just ask that women do not wear high heels. Trainers are fine.
There are loads of large screens with information, and various broadcasts. One in particular is about 3 metres wide. We could see one of the World Cup games as it was being played.
The equipment is easy to use, but if you get into difficulties, the staff will help you out.
After the bowling was over, we had a small buffet organised by the group. It was OK, and there was enough to go around.
They have a decent range of drinks, although the most extensive. Prices are comparable to local pubs, perhaps a touch more expensive.
The site has a larger upstairs dining area, but we stayed downstairs in a seated area by the bar which suited us as a couple of people had some mobility issues.
The toilets are clean, highly accessible and obviously looked after well.
The venue offers some interesting games, such as air hockey, whack a mole, test your punch etc. Not quite my scene, but younger patrons enjoyed these.
I had a good time, and I think most others did as well. Would certainly consider...
