Camellia Lodge — Hotel in Great Britain

We booked Camelia lodge for the weekend for my birthday, mainly because we wanted to be close to the sea & the reviews seemed good! In general the house looked cluttered & very dated - looks like it hasn’t been painted for years! The pictures do not look like a representation of the reality of room 1. The bedroom was very cold, but when we tried to tell the owner this he was nowhere to be seen. Indeed he didn’t even bother to meet me when we arrived. We went out for a walk thinking it would be warmer early evening but it wasn’t. It was cold and unwelcoming. We ended up spending quite some time finding alternative accommodation so that we could leave. A last minute booking for a couple of days in WSM.|Guest house is well located. Very close to the beach and easy walk into centre of town.|Hosts were welcoming, helpful and friendly but not overbearing as we have found some guesthouse owners to be.|Room was clean, well equipped and spacious.|Breakfast was great: self serve cereals, fruit and toast etc with a huge full English cooked.|We brought our dog: place is dog friendly and very relaxed about dog in the room.|I would highly recommend. I stayed here for a solo visit. Check in is easy in the afternoon. Shown around and to room. Single room very nice and comfortable. Tea and coffee making and water. Shower gel and shampoo and shower cap provided. TV in room |Love the decoration, the rooms has character. |Free wifi, I found phone signal isn't great. |Breakfast was superb, choice of fresh fruit, yoghurts, orange juice, toast tea and coffee. All cooked food absolutely delicious and good quality. |Not a long walk down to the beach, about 10 mins to town.
