Awful customer service. We were waiting behind one of the tills for 15mins and no one served us. A queue of people started to form behind us and still the members of staff just ignored us. When I finally asked someone on a different till why they kept serving new customers whilst we had been waiting for 15mins, a different woman came over and said well this till isnāt even on right now and āwe thought you were waiting for someone to serve youā. That doesnāt even make sense, of course we were waiting to be served, thatās why we were stood there clearly waiting. If the till wasnāt being used, why did no one come over and tell this big queue of people to move to a different queue? She was quite rude, she just said the till isnāt being used here and you need to go to the back of another queue, we didnāt get any apology or anything for the amount of time weād had to wait - which then made us 20mins late into the screening room. If that till was not in use, how as customers were we supposed to know that? Someone should have seen the big queue forming and told us so we could move. Instead we were ignored by 3/4 members of staff until I finally had the initiative to ask why we hadnāt been served. Food is overpriced anyway. Didnāt even get out food and drinks in the end as the other queues just got stupidly big and we didnāt feel like waiting another 20mins on top of what weād already been waiting. Odeon is so much better! Actually, any other cinema is better. Actually Iād go on to say that is some of the worst customer service Iāve ever had, so anywhere where you have to go through some sort of customer...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreSo, this was my 1st experience in a cineworld......the atrium is lovely with its sparkly floors and film posters, I peeked through the doors to the theatres, lush carpets, sofas, lights and film posters galore. Sadly, niether my husband or I can manage stairs so we had to go up in the lift with an escort, as, I expect any other people who cannot use stairs. Out of the lift, turn right....WOW! What the hell did we do wrong? A cold, relentlessly grey corridor, no lush carpets, sofas, posters or lights for us! Grey, cold and miserable......I felt like I'd been punished. Once up at the top of our theatre, we were situated under the air conditioning, which on arrival was warm and cosy, we got ready for a good night. WRONG! Its October by the way and really cold out.The film started and the heat was turned off! I came out freezing cold, the whole time I watched the excellent film my nose was cold, this does not make a great experience all in all. We also didn't know where the loo was. ( turn right out of the lift and behind a cold, grey wall is the loo, at least it was clean! yay. ) Come on cineworld, people who can't use stair shouldn't punished for it, give us a bit of carpet, some nice lights and a poster or two....I'm sure you...
Read moreI love Fortnite Fridays as much as the next man, but there is only so much you can do walking around a coded island when hitting a perfect headshot from 305m away is the peak of one's enjoyment. As a result of the Fortnite grind getting too overbearing, my buddies and I decided to diversify... Film Fridays! However this routine was quickly put to bed when we realised the unreasonable pricing here. I dropped 14 smackeroonies (over 1500 v-bucks in game) for a seat and a pack of wine gums, after I was denied a student rate - even though I presented my valid student ID! How can this be justified when the Odeon in Weston is a mere £4? Yes the experience was enjoyable, the seat - comfortable, the visuals - crisp, the sound - mellifluous, and the wine gums - well they were wine gums, but for a student like myself, living off the breadline, the price was more than hard to stomach. So if you have money to burn, and want a slight upgrade from the "cheap as chips" experience of the Weston Odeon, then this won't be disappointing. However, it is safe to say that the lads and I are back on the Friday Fortnite grind, with cash in our pockets and fat victory royales...
