Beautiful coffee lodge set in the heart of Ampthill park. A warm welcome followed by swift service. Ordered a BLT toastie - fresh crispy bread that was filled with a juicy meaty flavour and a refreshing zing in the salad. Brownies are super moreish and highly recommended. Great value for money. Looking forward to bringing the pooch, sitting out on the decking and tucking into the tapas next time.

The coffee is consistent and a great taste. Far better then the branded coffee shop. These guys are in the park, with great view. Staff are always smiling and very helpful. And compliments to the chef. The food is always good. Flat white with coconut milk is just spot on! Guys keep up the good work!

See pic - this is apparently a ā€œmediumā€ coffee. 2 of these cost me over Ā£8. It’s officially cheaper to go to Starbucks. Coffee was ok, but it didn’t blow me away. Very disappointing. Staff friendly though. Park amazing and only saving grace was the free parking. You win some and lose some šŸ¤·šŸ»ā€ā™€ļø

Full English breakfast - more like a half English breakfast!! My partner and I came here today as a little end of the week treat and it’s safe to say we both left disappointed and still hungry. After having spent Ā£10 each on a ā€œfull Englishā€, we were definitely expecting more than a small scoop of beans, probably one eggs worth of scrambled eggs, two half pieces of sourdough toast, half a tomato, one button mushroom, a rather mediocre sausage and two bits of bacon.

In addition to this, its £3.60 for a regular caramel latte but it comes smaller and more bitter rather than the sweet bliss it should be.

If you want a snack then go ahead and order the full English breakfast but if you’re going out for lunch and rather hungry, I’d recommend you go elsewhere and get more value for money.

That being said, this cafe was rather cute - it could do with just lowering its prices or making the portion sizes better and more value for money. It has the potential to be great but...

We recently visited The Coffee Lodge and were quite disappointed by our experience. We ordered the kids’ pancakes with fruit and syrup, expecting something reasonably portioned and child-friendly. What arrived was a single, tiny scotch pancake—not what we had hoped for, especially at Ā£4. To make matters worse, it was swarmed with wasps, making it impossible for our child to enjoy.

I politely asked if we could have two plain pancakes instead to stop the wasps —was happy to pay —but was told no. The only option was the one small plain pancake for the full price. The lack of flexibility and empathy from the staff was frustrating, especially given the circumstances.

While the location is nice, this visit really missed the mark in terms of value, service, and basic customer care. Unfortunately, we won’t be...

Woefully overpriced. Waited a long while amongst dogs in leotards for a scrambled egg on toast. When it came it was cold. The waitress claimed to have cooked it herself and brought it straight from the pan. After a brief exchange she said she would put it back in the pan to warm. No offer of a freshly cooked warm one. A minute later another lady I assume the manager returned with the same food with a thermometer stuffed in it and argued with me the customer that it's at 60 degrees on the inside. After another exchange of my dis-satisfaction that it had then been in an out twice she offered a refund which I took and left. The coffees are good, but small and overpriced. The customer service is lacking In summary,...
