Walked into the cafe today and I can honestly say I have never felt so unwelcome in coffee shop. I had a walking stick and a backpack I had just been for a walk to try to keep my arthritis under control and hoped for a nice cup of coffee and a rest, I sat down at a small table waiting to be served a member of staff came and cleared a vacated table next to me .. completed ignored me then went back to the counter 3 minutes later I still hadn't even been acknowledged let alone served... feeling completely unwelcome and out of place I got up collected my things and walked out...

Sweet staff, dog friendly. Lovely hot Stilton and walnut scones with lashings of butter and an excellent quiche with fresh salad, coleslaw, new potatoes and relish. Lovely tasting cappuccinos that were half way between late and cappuccino but delicious and the milk was hot and not boiled. They made a sausage for the dog and a squitty cream doggy-chino on request. Great service, lovely atmosphere. Simple and small menu but nice quality and service. Very busy and a small space.
