As visitors to Corbridge, this was our second visit to the Blue Bell, the first being over a year ago. Remembering the positive experience from last time, we were happy to call again, this time on a Saturday lunchtime as a party of five. Despite the village itself being very busy, the Blue Bell was not and we easily got tables, as it had not long been open. However, it seems that this is definitely a pub for football fans so it might not have been so easy had we arrived later in the day. We opted for 5 x main courses and the food was lovely – proper “home cooked” pub food at reasonable prices. We had: 2 x steak and kidney pie with chips, peas and gravy; 1 x cheesy vegetable pasta bake with garlic bread; 1 x gammon, chips and peas; 1 x spaghetti Bolognese with garlic bread. The empty plates were testament to the quality of the food, all of which were £12.50 each. Highly recommended –...

We came to Corbridge for 4 nights a couple of weeks ago. Lots of pubs in Corbridge but we stumbled upon this little gem. It's the locals pub and was perfect for us & our dog Albert. The ladies at the bar are so friendly, loved having Albert there too. We went a couple of nights and both nights got chatting to some locals, they too couldn't have been more welcoming. There are about 4/5 other pubs in town where tourists would go but we didn't even bother with those. We didn't need eat there. We are hoping to make Corbridge a yearly getaway and will definitely be making the Blue Bell our place to drink! Thank...

This is a traditional pub of the sort not often found since the business model of the "family-friendly scoffery" took over. That is not to say that families would not be welcome. I am sure they would be and there may even be food , though not in evidence when we were there. Zorro, the cocker spaniel, was feted and fed biscuits, the fire was stoked up high on the chill November day and the spouse says the beer was up to snuff. La patronne runs a tight ship, which, as we all know, is a happy ship, particularly if, like us, you happen to be visiting aged rellies in Corbridge and need...

Brilliant pub especially if you have a dog with you. Really nice atmosphere. Everyone so friendly and welcoming, especially the young lady who served me, offered to fetch bowl of water for my dog and also brought a handful of treats for her! Was only looking for a snack and had been turned away by 2 cafes in Corbridge because of the dog. So glad they did! The food was lovely, I had a jacket potato which was perfect and with a really good fresh salad with a lovely dressing. Happy dog, very happy owner!

Great dog friendly pub in the center of Corbridge. Large sunny beer garden out back. Great value Sunday lunch, £12.50, which included cauliflower cheese & pigs in blankets perfectly cooked meats. Service was perfect and quick.

Your quintessential friendly local pub. Good basic food. We had lunch while passing through, but it’s the kind of place to spend a few evening hours while consuming a few pints.
