I dont normally resort to this but after having a nice breakfast this morning I was left feeling slightly insulted by a sweaty meatloaf looking individual that arrived from the kitchen. I ordered the big breakfast which I waited nearly an hour for, i didnt complain about this as it was busy and the two girls that was running the show was lovely, helpful and polite. When ordering my breakfast I added an extra sausage in exchange for a slice of bacon but when it arrived it was missing as was my egg. The young lady corrected the egg situation quick smart and I ordered another slice of toast for my daughter, I never recieved my sausage. As I left I was asked to pay for the toast which I questioned as I was still missing a sausage. The lady couldnt make the decision so went to the kitchen to take advice which is when meatloaf arrived. He asked what my issue was and I simply said I questioned paying for my toast as I never recieved my sausage but not to worry as we was creating a scene over what was essentially a slice of bread. At this point he pointed out I had never been charged for a sausage so what was my problem ( there was nothing to charge me for as I had simply swapped an item). I severed eye contact at this point as I felt embarrassed and the nice, young girl that had catered for us also looked embarrassed. At this point he threw a hissy fit and angrily said " ok ignore me then " before storming off back into the kitchen (like a bat out of hell). I know the days of the customer always being right are long gone but please offer some respect. I would like to reiterate the food was worth the wait and the two young ladies deserve a pay...
Read moreHands down one of the best cafes I’ve visited In Yorkshire. Calling it a cafe is an undersell really, it’s more like a restaurant with the atmosphere of a local cafe. My parents had been telling me for ages about a wonderful place they’ve been visiting for the last few months, and they finally took me this week. I’ve never been to an eatery that’s not dedicated as ‘gluten free’ where there is such knowledge, care and attention given to my needs as a coeliac. My favourite thing was that there was no special ‘sideline’ menu for gf diners - you can eat from the main menu with all the appropriate substitutions and precautions made (there was even minestrone soup with gf pasta and gf croutons and homemade gf bread!!) - it’s absolute heaven and not just because of how well they catered for me.
The quality and presentation of the food is Superb.
It’s unbelievably welcoming and friendly, and there’s something on the menu for everyone. I absolutely can’t...
Read moreMan, what can I say about this place! My absolutely favourite in Grassington. A must visit!! The ladies are so lovely, it's super dog friendly, breakfasts to die for, great coffee and cake, stunning Wall art. What more can I say... YOU MUST GO!! Visited for the first time in May on the first visit to Yorkshire, sold on both Yorkshire and this place for breakfast. We don't normally take our 3 dogs into places...we have 3 dogs who can be a little vocal to say the least, they love the attention! But we always feel comfortable here and all 3 girls are so well behaved in there. A massive go to for me is their poached eggs on granary... wow...the bread is huge and so fresh, the eggs perfect! Oh and the way they label tables is actually to die for... the little framed numbers are so cute! All these little things make a huge...
