Apparently it is a well known or famous cafe in Isle of Wight. O_o You need to make a reservation when trying to dine in this cafe, for it is very busy. We made reservation for Monday Mid July 2025, for 10:45am, and the cafe was still busy. Staff were busy and servitude, no time wasting. Food did not take long to arrive after placing our orders, but drinks took longer than I expected, though it was because they were busy. I ordered the banana+dates smoothie, it looked so nice in the glass and I liked the taste, not many may like this drinks. Others ordered a Macha Latte, quantity was good but one of them had too much rose inside. The food I ordered was American style pancakes with bacon; and added syrup. Though my syrup had less amount, but I was given more syrup in a mini cup when I asked. Others at my table ordered Full English breakfast, another ordered poached egg, and another ordered chorizo hash. The poached egg comes with avocado, but the avocado was hard (unripe). Chorizo hash tasted so nice, it tasted like Korean topokki. In terms of the taste of the food, they were delicious! However the portion size were very small in regards to the price. When I saw the full English breakfast, it looked like a dish that wouldn't fill me up. My American bacon pancakes came with 5 slices of pancakes, though small in shape. Bakebeans for the full English tasted like Heinz but with different beans added to it. I would not recommend the chorizo hash as breakfast but for lunch as it will fill you up quickly, unless you are good with potato for breakfast. Price for 5 drinks and 5 food including tips, came to a total of £95. For a breakfast. The toilet had a little bit of queue or wait time. The cafe and outside sitting were clean enough. Cafe is pets friendly, so bring your dogs along. The nice thing about this cafe is they change their menus twice a year which is a refresher for the locals. Would I recommend this place? I would recommend because the food isn't just a regular dish served like other places, you can actually taste the goodness and quality of the food. The only off putting thing is the price and portion, I don't mind the price but the portion size needs to justify the price point. It is advisable to make reservations here.

We came here for some lunch. Seating is currently all outside which is fine by me as you can see the beautiful sea and look over at Portsmouth watching ships go by. My salad was lovely and slightly warm too which added a special touch to a standard salad. It was delicious. Food is slightly pricey. Salad is £12 and burgers are £12-£14 so it's what is expect to pay for a burger these days. But like I'd said above the salad had a lovely unique twist. Drinks were lovely. They offer soy, almond and oat milk which is pretty rare in the island. The decorations inside is beautiful. Currently there is no sitting inside due to current restrictions. There is only one toilet for all to use which includes a pull down baby change. Slight warning... If you are pregnant or over a size 18 you won't be able to shut the door and pull down the baby changer!! It's a very tight squeeze. You can't leave the door open and pull it down either! But there are beach huts around the corner where you could try changing a nappy on the grass should you need to. We had a take away ice-cream to talk away with us for a walk towards Ryde pier afterwards. They serve Kelly's ice-cream so sorry yummy! I'll definitely return here

Would rate 0 if there was an option. Awful, slow service. Asked for a non alcoholic cider, told they have never served them despite me ordering one last time, was told well you must of been served an alcoholic Cider, depsite being pregnant. Pint served in a PLASTIC cup, despite sitting at table. 10 minute wait for single beer and bottle of Water (no tap water available unless wanted in dog bowl) member of staff had to go downstairs for cup apparently. half a scoop of ice cream. Really bad value for money. Poor lady changing her baby on the grass outside as no spaces for baby changing. Protentious cafe, won’t bother coming back!

My wife and 2 children had been out all day and had walked from the hovercraft to here, stopping to look at shells, dig holes etc. When we saw the dell we were told we could not eat inside without a booking (fair enough, no problem with that). We then saw their takeaway menu offering pasty or sausage roll. Not great options but we were famished and it was a long walk back to the hover craft. We waited in a queue for 20/25 minutes for takeaway, to be told AT THE END there was no food available. I pointed to the large, open food sign with options and prices and asked why they had not put a sign up saying there was no food left as we would then NOT have waited with our two children for nearly half an hr in the heat for non existent food. Her reply, looking me dead in the eye, was that she was going to do that.... But didn't. Her words. She then, seeing the colour rising on my face, mumbled something about there being people sat where she was going to do it... But why not just take the sign down then????? We told the rest of the queue on our way past there was no food, as the staff still hadn't got around to that. About half left. However more would be fooled into wasting their time once we had gone.

As we were still starving and no closer to town (though we would have been without this unnecessary delay) we went back to the booth where we had been told we could not eat without a booking, to enquire when a slot may be open. If there was an evening slot, maybe we could do another hour or two on the beach and have dinner here. We waited for 20 minutes at their reservation area, passed by no less than 4 different members of staff all of who completely blanked us. Not even an acknowledgement, not any idea of how long we could be waiting. No more service than the takeaway experience had prepared us for. We left after 20 minutes without even having had a nod from a member of staff there. I get that times can be busy, I get that it was hot bank holiday, there is Coronavirus restrictions. But if you can't maintain a basic level of courtesy and professionalism why bother being open? It only takes a second to let us know there is no food, or no reservations available. Worst part of our day out here and not somewhere we will ever be...

We were a group of 4 adults, a dog and a baby in pushchair who was looking for a table for drinks and some icecream. It didn’t take too long to be seated but took a bit of time to bring the menus over and again longer to come back and ask what we would like. The young girl who served us was typing it all in to a tablet which I understand some cafes and hospitality places have tablets rather than pen and paper however she didn’t look at us the whole time and then just walked off. After about an hour of waiting I decided to go up and ask what was going on for us to waiting so long for 4 iced coffees, it wasn’t very busy as it was middle of the day and mid week… they had they hadn’t had the ticket through, at which point the girl who served us was sat in the cafe having her lunch just started saying “I definitely did it” so they hadn’t yet started making them and they would do them now after another ten minutes they brought out 3 drinks we informed them they were missing a drink and he went back inside to make the fourth at this point we were fed up & thirsty and almost told them to leave it they finally brought the fourth drink out but it was a completely different colour to the other ones and tasted completely different after a couple of sips a saw something which looked pink inside the glass after fishing it out with the straw it appeared to be a bit of carrot - we had not ordered food so unsure how that got in there, my mum went back in with the drink in hand and they offered to make her a new drink but by this point it had been about an hour and half since we sat down and were past the point in wanting a drink so she asked for a refund, the waitress didn’t refund the whole order, just the one drink. Throughout all of this we didn’t get one apology I think this is really bad customer service and they need to rethink how they...
