The Feathers — Restaurant in England

Terrible customer service by the on site security team, at last orders, I asked to use the toilet and was told 'the toilets were now closed & that there was a male attendant in them'. I said I didn't mind that. I ended up surrounded by 3 security staff on site arguing the situation. One male security staff, in particular, was very oppositional. He took an aggressive, physical stance throughout. After trying to explain my viewpoint, I asked if I could take a photo of his ID , if he was quoting the company policy. He refused, a female security staff sent him away and asked to deal with me outside. Once walked to the door, she just commenced to bolt the door! I asked if that was it and she replied yes and didn't even engage in the conversation to obtain my point. I can't help feeling that the security staff at the feathers have a one size fits all approach to security. It was needless, all I wanted was a quick wee!? Absolutely, awful attitude, I will not return, appalling...

Friends birthday, went for afterwork drinks. Half way through the night we saw a sign on the wall that says "free cocktail on your birthday" when asked, the barman said we "no, don't do it anymore." Wonderfully friendly staff. Very approachable and accommodating. My husband and I came for late lunch early tea. Gammon for my husband which he thoroughly enjoyed. I had a fantastic burger.
