Went on a hot summers day, fantastic location, right on the River Severn with beautiful surroundings. The food was phenomenal but not cheap, the beers and cider choice was great! Loved that part of my visit... However, because of how busy it was the service completely let the place down. Multiple orders were incorrect and young bar staff / waiting service apologetic. For example on of our large group waited over 30 minutes for one drink, while those that ordered later were delivered theirs on neighbouring tables. With better management, the Half Moon near Ironbridge, Shropshire would literally be untouchable, especially in the summer months. #carleasingguy definitely recommends a visit, and I hope the owners / managers take note, maybe put a plan in place for table service outside? Just an idea.

Absolutely bliss meal at the Half Moon Inn. We were seated promptly, even though we had not booked on a busy Friday evening they were able to accommodate myself and my family. We ordered three children's meals and two adult mains, all came out hot and the chips were just devine. Crispy outside and fluffy in the middle. I couldn't fault this place at all, such friendly staff. We then came back a few days after and sat outside just for drinks, it's table service only. It took a while for them to come over but they did eventually and all drinks were spot on. Were not usually one to take our children out for food or even just a drink, but this place made us feel very comfortable. Thanks very much for helping make our staycation that bit more magical

Popped in on a Sunday afternoon. Nice and busy but more than helpful to offer a table inside though we decided to sit in the sun. Hostess was lovely and more than helpful. Good selection of draught pints. I had the beef bacon cheeseburger and chips, spot on! And my partner had the prawns and spicy chips. Perfect for an afternoon bite to eat. Will be returning when the weather gets warmer. One of Telfords go to spots when the sun is out.

We stopped off at the Half Moon because of its idyllic location by the Severn, south of Iron Bridge. The Food and Drink were really good. Nice staff and fast service. We sat out side and ate outside under the umbrella's in the seating area by the river, as a Thunderstorm pasted by. There are rooms available, I would love to stop at the Inn, what a wonderful place.

Visited the Half Moon Inn for a late Sunday afternoon lunch as a member of a party of eight. The service was reasonably prompt, but not with the friendliness that makes you feel you have made a good choice for an afternoon out. The meals arrived and most of them were quite good. My wife ordered a chicken burger meal and when she bit into it found it to be full of gristle and bone grated up with the chicken. It spoilt the afternoon. I found on ordering a lager shandy it was charged at £8 per pint. The really best thing about the Half Moon was its location on the river bank, the views were absolutely fantastic
