Lovely afternoon tea. Good selection of savoury and sweet with friendly staff. One criticism our disabled friend in a wheelchair needed the loo. There is quite a steep ramp down to the cafe and we had to push her up it and take her over the road round back of shops to disabled toilets. Its a long way and I thought restaurants had to have disabled facilities. We couldn't look in a single shop at the Maws Craft Centre sadly as they all had high steps! Our friend couldn't get in a single one. Wake up shop owners get a ramp!!

Decent cafe within the Maws Craft Centre. The setting and feel of the place is really great. There are plenty of seating both inside and out. We tried the quiche and mushroom snacks which were both fine and also had some cakes. The service and quality of the food is better than 3 stars, but as they didn’t have one sandwich on the menu made is more of a tea and cake place really which I think is missing a trick. Defo 4 stars though if you’re walking through and need a cuppa and a slice of cake.

Called in for a pit stop halfway into our walk. the adults all had the usual tea, coffee and mocha and the kids went for cakes. The portions were huge and looked really tasty... absolutely no complaints. We sat outside with a parasol to guard off the occasional spot of rain which was nice and it meant the youngest of the group could casually saunter the courtyard and not be bored. Toilets are upstairs in the cafe. Dog friendly which to me is always a sign of a good cafe ☺️

Had a strange experience here this week. On arrival it was very busy which is usually a good sign, the area and Cafe itself look lovely. The wife and I took up seats inside and were looking for prices on the menu for their coffee and cakes but couldn't find them anywhere. I went and asked and the staff wanted to know what we wanted, I explained that we didn't know yet but wanted to know prices before we order so we know what we're paying. Pretty normal cafe or shop procedure I thought! The staff explained they don't have their coffee prices on their menus but that they're "all about £3.30 and the cakes are all about £3.80" I asked how they operate like that, do they just guess at the time or give different prices to different people? I wouldn't know if I was spending a fiver or 20 quid! Most odd and we ended up walking out without ordering as it just seemed a bit chaotic and disorganised. I don't think I've ever been to a cafe/coffee shop that doesn't have their prices displayed. 😕 Seemed like a nice place though but you just have to guess what...

Really impressed with the new menu, staff and new look. The lady making the food orders was very accomodating and made a vegan dish tailored to what I fancied. It was refreshing to see some nice vegan options and my food was very well executed and the lady's service was excellent. My parents had some of the cake and said how lovely it was, and the coffee was great too. Really really pleased to see the cafe having a good quality offering with keen staff. I have been visiting Maws Craft Centre for years and this is the best I have seen it. Whoever is now in charge has really turned things around and I will definitely be back. Thanks for being so welcoming...

I'm never happy at any outlet where we have to make a real effort to get the attention of staff who ignore me wishing to order. Being busy is no reason to avoid eye contact and simply saying 'I'll be with you shortly'. Consequently, when they finally deigned to ask, rather than order food I only ordered cake and coffee, which are somewhat expensive probably due to the location. The cake was excellent, having a home made texture/taste and being of good size. The flat white was anything but... It had a frothy head taking half of the cup... Clearly either careless or untrained staff. Disappointed, especially after visiting upon...
