The Harbour Inn — Restaurant in England

Sunday lunch. I'm finding some of these positive reviews very hard to believe. Sunday lunch for three people was a disaster. The portions are not big as people seem to claim. The quality is very low. The roast potatoes were the frozen type. The cabbage was still crunchy. Beef was lukewarm. The pork was nice, but one slice after ordering a large roast? Peas tasted like tinned. I booked here for one night in a single room. The room was comfortable enough, with a decent shower and good wifi. There was a kettle with tea and coffee, plus fresh towels. The room was really clean. On the down side there was music from the pub downstairs and you can hear cars passing on the road outside (neither was a problem for me). Well priced ensuite room which was clean and included tea and coffee free WiFi and free parking. B&B is not an option as no food service but large supermarket just across the road and the inn does provide a small kitchen which includes fridge microwave and toaster. Bar area is pretty basic and old school but does the job and the land lady is very friendly and helpful. Good option at a great price...
