Came after an appointment for lunch. I had Lasagna missus had the ploughman's lunch deluxe. Person serving was very friendly and polite. Plenty of seating inside and place was clean and tidy. Food came out very quickly and was delicious, only downside was noise from outside, which is not the fault of the establishment, and also lack of wi-fi as said was open but wasn't. Would recommend coming though as very good. Visited second time and went out into garden. Meals were lovely and meal sizes ample. Wi-fi access sorted. Highly recommended for a meal and a drink.

This place is wrongfully rated for cleanliness, it should be -4. We stayed there last night and we were provided a room with blood stains on the carpet, the carpet was NOT vacuumed, the restroom floor was very dirty, the bed sheet had hairs, the shower plugs up, and to top it off, we were charged an additional 5 pounds for towels, what hotel does that??!! We traveled England for 10 days and stayed at different locations and this is the 1st hotel that has not met our expectations as far as cleanliness is concerned…. Extremely disappointed!

Friendly place, good rooms separate from main pub overlooking beer garden. Room clean and comfortable, well stocked hospitality tray and really pleased to have good sized bottle of fresh milk in fridge in room. Shower room neat with powerful shower. Dinner in the pub lovely, food well cooked, good range of choice. Delightful deserts, especially the gluten free chocolate and coconut flan. Short walk to Shops both High Street and Clarks shopping outlet.

Visited with 16 friends whilst staying in the area. The pub had been recommended by people who lived and worked in the local area. What a good recommendation this turned out to be to be. We were welcomed in by warm and friendly staff who couldn’t do enough to make our experience very pleasurable. The bar staff were fabulous. We had made a booking for lunch for the 16 of us and were seated in a lovely cosy room. The chef talked us through the menu and allowed us to tailor our choices to our individual tastes and appetites. We were blown away by the hospitality that all the staff showed us. The food was delicious and the presentation just fabulous. We would definitely go back if in the area and recommend it as a warm and friendly pub with tasty homemade food at a very reasonable price. Good choice of beers and wine and even had a cocktail list. One of our party had a...

right so went out for lunch today with a friend and are kids. my son decided to have a poo in his nappy as 4 month old babys do, was one of those bad ones all over his clothes. so i asked the bar lady do you have a baby changing room. she said very rudely they dont but took me into the ladys toilets and said there's loads of room on the floor 😮😮. no changing mat and a cold floor, are you joking me. this lady thought this was ok behaviour. its a family pud you selling kids food why would you not even have a changing mat, you can pick one up for less then £10. i was NOT changing my son on that floor, took my son back to the table and changed his nappy on one of there padded benches where people were eating and not the easiest place to change him but wasn't a cold floor. what a joking definitely wouldnt go there...

We booked a last minute overnight stay & the reviews we'd read were spot on. Lovely (busy) young man showed us to our room (No 1) which was spotlessly clean with lovely crisp white cotton sheets, towels & flannels. Heating was already on in our bathroom (late afternoon arrival) & there were fantastic tea/coffee making facilities available - our very own coffee machine!! As the sun was shining we ordered beers & sat in the garden, followed by our evening meals - Lasagne/Salad & Beef Pie/Mash (fab chunks of lean meat in tasty gravy). Bed was super comfy & the following morning we chose the Full English Breakfast which was included in our overnight stay! What's not to like - you deserve to do well - you work SO hard & tirelessly. I highly recommend this place, great...
