The Mita's — Restaurant in England

Unfortunately, a bad experience this evening. Ordered for delivery with estimated delivery time at 50mins. After this time had lapsed and no sign of food, I rang the restaurant just to check it was on its way. The person I spoke to then went off to check and I overheard some heated conversation around “it hasn’t been sent yet??”, followed by the person on the phone telling it would be with me in 5-10 mins and apologising for the delay. 25 mins later (76 mins from ordering), my food finally arrives stone cold. I had to reheat it completely, and rang the restaurant to provide feedback about this. Nothing was offered so I directly asked for my delivery charge at least to be refunded which was met with “you can have one item free when you book next time”. Not good enough, and when there is such stiff competition in Twyford, it’s unlikely I’ll be ordering again. A great shame as I’ve been a loyal customer of Mitas for...

Very good food, they also deliver locally free. We use infrequently, but I have to say that the quality is consistent whenever we use them. The sag bahjee is wonderful, best I have ever had.

Update: Since lockdown we've used them more often recently and the food is still consistently very good.

Been going to Mita's for nearly twenty odd years. My fave curry place. The owners and staff are excellent and very friendly. How about this ... over the years I used to drop in at least once a week and have a lamb madras, but bit by bit I would ask for a tweak here and there (bit of fruit, more chilli, lets try some honey etc etc).
