The most amazing cafe in the whole of the Lake District! And such great vegan options! We got the vegetable wrap with homemade hummus and let me tell you that salad was sensational :) The way they cut that cucumber was so inventive even my sister was happy and she usually wouldn't even eat cucumber! The sweet potato was cooked beautifully :) We tried to recreate the wrap at home and honestly it was not the same :( The staff were amazing and welcoming and the takeaway packaging was environmentally friendly. I've been thinking about that wrap ever since and I'm so sad that I live so far away in London but when I'm back in Penrith, I'll be there for my wrap ;)

Really friendly cosey place. Decent range of options on the menu with several vegetarian options. No vegan options clearly marked but several can be made vegan. Options include hummus and veggie sandwhich, soup, or falafel. I had the soup and sandwich option and told the staff I was vegan, they quickly asked the chef if the soup was vegan without a fuss and then offered vegan spread instead of butter on my hummus and veg sandwich. To finish off my meal I had a vegan choc chip cookie which was a surprise find. Good experience.

Love the Narrowbar Cafe, best place of its kind in Penrith. Fresh food is always deliciously made changes accommodated without faff. Friendly staff, clean venue (and loos), there was a short wait for a table at our last visit - always the sign of a good cafe. If passing Penrith on the M6 don't waste your money buying overrated overpriced food at Tebay Service, drop into Penrith. We always visit here or Mr Browns in Brampton when passing by, but Narrow bar is probably more convenient.

I popped in here for lunch today and was slightly pushed for time, however was so glad I chose to go local instead of grabbing a quick Greggs (and i usually love Greggs). It's a lovely little cafe with very conscientious staff, my order was taken very quickly, food (brie and bacon panini with a side of curly fries) tasted great and arrived very promptly! I genuinely could not say a bad word about the place. The ladies serving were adhering to covid guidelines and I felt very safe in there. Keep doing what you're doing! I hope to return soon when I have more time so I can...
