Me, my wife and Ellie the dog visited this place on Thursday evening after having booked the previous week by email. We were warmly welcomed by Matt who kindly provided some water and dog treats for Ellie. The menu has a decent choice of dishes and the quality of the food we had was excellent (Matt told us that his wife Fi does the food). I had the Mediterranean meze and my wife had the Yorkshire picnic...both really tasty and great value at £9.95 each. Matt is such an amiable host and it's a shame certain other pubs in Ingleton don't follow suit. The place is only small and by the time we left (having consumed several beers!!) there wasn't a seat to be had. It's one of those places that, due to it's size and intimacy, you can't help but chat to other customers which makes for a wonderful atmosphere. As lovers of real ale, my wife and I had to ask Matt for advice and what to have, and he gave us great advice because the choice of beers (all bottled) is ridiculous, but in a good way...I was like a kid in a sweet shop!!! We can't recommend this place enough...particularly if you're a real ale fan and you like a great atmosphere ...

As you finish the walk and enter the village it is to the left a mere 10 metre diversion from the sign posts to take you back to your car park. Dog friendly as they are allowed inside and the staff are very pleasant. The atmosphere and crowd of people makes this place a real good chatty place after a long walk. There are lots of selections of alcohol and soft drinks with cask ales and craft beers and small prosecco bottles and other selection of Spotify, which is a nice treat for people who prefer something more than a micro bar. We never stayed for any entertainment but looking at the photos it looks like a real good time could be have here in the evening. Unfortunately we where not local so we had to drive on which was a real shame and very difficult trying to leave. What was initially a 15 min pit stop we spend over 3 hours enjoying the atmosphere and bar staff. Can not wait to return and even stay around the area so we can enjoy the night life at opo. Brill aft...
Read moreOur friends live in the village and are always raving about this place - so when we came to stay with them we absolutely had to come and see what it was all about.
What a place - so unusual and definitely very boundary pushing with its decor in the games room haha but I really love it - why just be traditional when you can make it your own and with how busy the place was, the decor was not an issue.
Didnt get to see “the sanctum” - the outdoor space but I hear it’s brilliant and perfect for an afternoon and evening drink.
Adam and Rob - the owners - are both super. Really attentive, knowledgable and funny. They know so many regular customers and their specific qualities! Such a really nice atmosphere - was like a bunch of friends all drinking in the one venue.
We tried a new drink they started with that evening - Lanique and Cider Spritz. Call in and give it a try - so lovely.
Anyhow, until next time boys! What a...
