This was absolutely gorgeous. First, the venue was so cozy and comfortable with a great ambience. Second the menu was lush without being pretentious. We had the platter to share and found that everything was perfect, the mozzarella was fresh and creamy, sun-dried tomatoes were soft and tangy, and the beetroot hummus was garlicky and delicious. We shared a bottle of cabernet sauvignon, light, fruity and a perfect pairing with our food. Main course was the burger on brioche with chunky chips - delicious¡! I wanted a lighter main so ordered the peri prawns and they were amazing- perfectly cooked with just the right amount of seasoning. This restaurant had such potential going off the reviews. Unfortunately the main meals let it down, with 4 ingredients in the dish we picked 2 were missing. The side of vegetables had no seasoning at all on them and just tasted like basic boiled veg!! The risotto element of the main dish was so over cooked it felt like glue in our mouths! For the price being charged we expected better. The starters were ok, but my husbands toasted sour dough bread cut his mouth it was that hard! Walked in on the of chance I could get a table and wow I'm glad they could accommodate me, the scallops and seafood platter was the best you could ask for, followed by the amazing Moroccan lamb and potatoes finished of with the Eton mess pudding , amazing food and service, Thank you, Only one thing I'd have to say could change was due to me not having cash I couldn't tip so maybe if you add a tip onto the bill at the end with the option of a certain %, I'm sure it would be ok with less and less people...
