Visited on Friday 12th April for the first sitting as you definitely have to book. Was seated as we arrived and the staff are very friendly and very attentive. Had a lovely table for 2 by the window, with a lovely view of the boat moorings at Billing Aquadrome. So this is an all you can eat buffet, which cost £26 per person on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, the rest of the week is £24 and children is £16 each. Good choice of drinks which are reasonably priced. We opted for Spring rolls, deep fried salt and pepper spare ribs and sesame prawn toast (that hungry forgot photos), which were delicious and highly recommended. Prawn crackers are on the tables along with a sweet chilli dipping sauce. You can order as many starters as you wish. Then you then order middle dishes, which include crispy duck, and other dishes, but we decided to wait and order main dishes which have a wide range of choices from Chicken, pork, beef and seafood. We opted for Chicken chow mein, fried egg rice, sweet and sour pork, crispy chilli beef. Absolutely delicious and again you can order further mains, but we were full as the wife is not a big meat eater but there are non meat dishes to order. What i will say is this isnt the place for children as they wont get value for money. We sat close to a large table of people along with 3 children aged 7-9. We noticed they didnt eat much of the dishes and had to order chips which are priced at £2.50 each further to the bill so, over £50 for these 3 children alone!! Highly recommended and we will be back very shortly. Parking okay and lots of space inside with a nice atmosphere. Food is delicious and very tasty. Best Chinese i have had for...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThere is lots of room for improvement. This is my opening sentence for this mini review. If you are a first time goer to this place than you will be pleasantly surprised with the food taste and the presentation. And perhaps at this point the pro's are finished. The ugly side of this place is the service. Given that the owners of the establishment know how busy the restaurant can be on any given day it would be wise to cover the increase in volume by hiring more staff in the kitchen and on the floor. My main points of contempt are: 1 - Long waits of up to 30 minutes between meals/orders. 9 If your party consists of more than 3 people be prepared to wait a considerable amount of time for your order) 2 - Tables left with empty plates and messy for a long period of time ruining the whole experience. Giving a feeling that you are eating at a soup kitchen. More staff on the floor would have solved this problem. 3 - Food gets repetitive and boring after the second visit putting you off to come again. (which happened in our case). 4 - Some dishes are smothered in sauces ruining the distinct taste of the dish which was meant to be in the first place. i.e. Fish/ Prawn or beef.
and the list can go on and on starting with interior decor and finishing with toilets. Sad... Sad... Sad...
In my personal opinion is that the owners are indifferent to the level of service they provide and frankly don't care simply because they know that as it stands right now the place is bustling with customers on any given day for reasons to me unknown. Imagine only for one second how much better this place can be if owners would care a bit more about the customer and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThese places never learn the first few times the eat all you can buffet is great here, then they get lazy and you name something that could be over crispy and it was. All the starters that don't have a sauce were over crispy even the crispy lamb entree should of been called extra crispy lamb It was such a shame. So you complain and ask for some of the dishes to be redone and the dishes come out again dry and just as crispy. The mains and foods hidden in a sauce were fine so half the menu was safe to eat, then you get bored of waiting for a bill so you just pay at the till and you don't even get offered any discount. Ow and unless you have money to waste take your own coke with you as all they have are cans of coke anyway. So you then try phoning to complain and all you get is voicemail so you leave a message for the manager, and explain why your calling and no one even bothers phoning you back. The thing these places need to understand is yes there are a lot of bad joints to eat at but you only need to find one good one, so where do they think there usual diners will go when they find that one reliable restaurant. Like I always say you don't get charged any less when they give you dodgy food, so why should you have to pay the same price as when they give...
