I'm ashamed to say that, even though I have lived in this area almost all my life, this was my first visit to the Pot & Glass. We had heard about the recent change of ownership and our party of 6 were keen to try the food. We had heard it was very good and I'm pleased to say we were not disappointed. We chose a selection of starters that we shared between us, all of which we enjoyed. I chose sweet & sour chicken for my main course, as it's a dish I eat regularly and therefore perhaps a great way to assess the quality of the food. It tasted wonderfully fresh and was full of flavour, in fact one of the best I've eaten in a good while. My only small criticism is that some of our main meals were not piping hot, although this did not affect my enjoyment of the meal. One of our party felt the choice of vegetarian options was somewhat limited, although the meal she chose was by far the best Thai food she had ever eaten. The staff were friendly and attentive and looked after us very well. The owners also came to say hello, which was very much appreciated. Will definitely visit again.

I've started visiting the Pot and Glass on a regular basis over the past few weeks since it has changed hands. The staff are very welcoming and friendly as well as the locals from the village. Decided to try the food for the first time as it's a Thai and Cambodian menu, we ordered the duck spring rolls tp shear as a starter and the red Thai and green Thai curry as a main. Over all the food was absolutely brilliant and if Thai and Cambodian style food is your thing then I highly recommend.

Food arrived in chipped / cracked bowls. This is so unhealthy and unhygienic, no manager to speak to on site, and the 2 waiting staff were run off their feet serving a full restaurant. Did speak with the manager the following day, to be told abruptly she’d had the same issue at the “Ivy” that weekend and had the same issue, and that we’d have to just ask and it would have been rectified, as it was at the “Ivy”. I’m assuming the “Ivy” was adequately staffed, the Pot and Glass was not!!

This place has a nice atmosphere though a bit awkward when it's quiet. It's a lovely looking pub and has a good reputation so I was very disappointed this evening when my sea bass was served in a pool of grease; provided by the deep fried from frozen hash brown masquerading as a rosti. This completely ruined my fish and vegetables. Based on the relatively good starters that we had, I would have thought this to be the exception. Unfortunately however my partner was served a very overcooked steak and when he asked for the rare steak he had ordered the rest of his meal was microwaved so we didn't get to try the chips which looked to be the only good thing on his plate pre microwave. I'm really...

This is a lovely pub. The bars are made from dressers and very ornately carved. They have some nice real ales these included Hobgoblin Ruby and to me the King of ales, Theakstons Old Peculier. The food is to proper grub. The portions are generous no Nuvous Cuisiene here. I can't remember the name but I had a chicken hot shot dish. Basically chicken breast flattened with tomato sauce, pepperoni, topped with cheese and Jalapeño. ( Chicken Pizza) served with large chips and salad. Awesome. Just to top it all off the staff are lovely and friendly. Dave the landlord hasa wicked sense of humour and is entertaining. Can't wait for an opportunity to...
