The Seven Woods — Restaurant in England

I can't believe how a group pub can be ran like this. So we visited twice, the first time we were sold a bag of nuts (near a month out of date - see photos). I raised it with the manager and got a refund. Fair enough mistakes happen. Manager explained they'll try and figure out what's happened and make sure it doesn't again.

So we decided to go again, thought we'd have a drink and decide if it feels any better and if we will try food. We decided a drink and some nuts again. I was mortified. She did find a way that it wouldn't happen again! The bag we was given, had the date rubbed off! I was absolutely flabbergasted! It's clear in the photos too, it's deliberately been rubbed. It's crumpled all over that area and the rest is clear.

I raised it with staff who tried to take them off me. I insisted I'm keeping them for a review and raise it further. If that's what they're doing with nuts what on earth is going on in the kitchen??? Not what you expect from a marstons pub and its clear to say I'll never be returning!! EVER! Id advise people to avoid as they clearly don't care about food standards if the easiest thing to track is being used to...

Just had lunch in the 7 woods today 20/06/24, great value and the food was very nice. I was served by Ange, who was excellent and looked after us and our grandson. Much appreciated

Recently went the the Seven Woods prior to our flight for breakfast, absolutely lovely! 7 people all served at the same time, quality food and lovely beer. Great way to start a holiday. Thank you Les and Vicki

Went to the Seven Woods for a family meal (8 people). The manager, Vicki, greeted us and showed us to our table, she was very friendly I had a chilli cheese burger. It was excellent, lots of chilli and cheese, the burger patties have a flame grilled flavour. Awesome and great value. The staff were very tentative to our needs, and checked everything was ok several times We all ordered separately and the the food arrived at the same time, everyone enjoyed their food. There’s a great selection of beers and larger too, all very well priced. I highly recommend the Seven Woods and please pass my thanks on to a brilliant team. Looking forward to...

Welcomed into the bar by Ollie, a very friendly and helpful young lad, we had a table for 5 people booked at 2.30pm and was shown to our table. Ollie took our drink and food order, one of the items ordered wasn't on the till yet as its a father's day ultimate burger, but ollie and his manager built the burger for us using the additional extras options so no fuss. £87 for 5 meals and 5 drinks! Not too bad at all. Jess the waitress served us, our food all came out together, was lovely and hot, I had the 8oz surf and turf rump steak, usually I am disappointed with pub steaks but this was very lean, well cooked and tasted brilliant! Loads of chips and fresh crispy scampi with peas and tartare sauce. Others order a beef roast (lovely and fresh!) And 3 burgers, which everyone scoffed with great pleasure!! Jess was lovely and came to ask if we were happy with our meals, which we all were very satisfied and would definitely visit again. Thanks to the staff for a great pub dining...
