Greggs — Restaurant in England

Greggs is the nation's finest affordable and tasty breakfast experience. The experience can perch itself on either end of the spectrum, ranging from total bliss to agonising torture. Today's offering was somewhere in the middle. The barm (yes barm) was light and fluffy, potentially the finest soft barm my lips doth ever munch upon. The sausages (as always) were very sumptuous, full of flavour. Margarine well spread (although I do wish they used butter). I feel on this occasion however that there was less bacon and sausage than usual, as though the meat to bread ratio was all out of whack and the bacon was over cooked, not in a great, crispy, tasty way but a dry and hard way. Only 3 out of 10 on this occasion but maybe the next offering will smash up that rank.

We called in on Friday for a bacon roll, which is normally enjoyable, (we have visited on many occasions) although mine was swimming in an overwhelming amount of brown sauce, which I had to remove most of with a tissue, the coffee was lovely and it's usually consistently good, but unfortunately I can't say the same about the breakfast 🥓 rolls, as sometimes the bacon can be hard and spoiled. The staff are not very friendly and rarely make eye contact, or smile and engage with customers 🤔 which is a shame. We noticed a lot of dust on the red lamp shades above the tables and the cleanliness of the eating in area was below standard, especially on the floor near window frames, tables were not very clean so there's definitely room for...

Came in here recently for some cheese bites and BBQ bites which were both priced at £3.55 for two. But when I got to the till, was told rather abruptly by Rebecca, that I couldn't have them for that price, because it wouldn't work at the till and that I had to have two items exactly the same. Shouldn't be advertising them at that price if you can't mix and match. Would have spoken to a manager, but it was busy, so I just left them and walked out. Also, the pasties are often stone cold, and shouldn't be on sale unless they're warm or hot. Service is also extremely slow...
