-Pretty mediocre, we went for Sunday lunch, only encountered one rude staff member but the rest seemed very nice, it seems the rona has given license for some folk to forget there manners, oh well on with the review.
-All the tables were so sticky, I think they just wipe down with water, try using something a little stronger to clean this place up. I tried a few different chairs they were all wobbly and ready to collapse, Im not that heavy.
The meal was fairly inexpensive, I was told by a member of the team that the cauliflower cheese was "to die for" sadly it was burnt to the point of being buggered, we couldn't eat it. The vegetables were old and well overcooked and the meat was laden with fat.
-Virus rules not really followed by all staff I did spot one of the team picking up a customers dog before going back behind the bar to serve. Anyway like I said the rest of the team were fantastic this place just needs a clean and a bit of care and it's lovely oh and don't...
Read moreOH my goodness, what a delight, Marie who welcomed us at the door and ensured our table met our needs is the epitome of graciousness and professionalism. I cannot put into words our feelings of joy and belonging and this is before we sampled either drink or food. However these reviews are meant to enlighten the traveller to pick establishments that offer great food and superior service (when deserved) and I can confirm that the Shakespeare Inn delivers both great food and excellent service in abundance. The Joules Ales where some of the best ales I have tasted in a long time and the drink Staropramen Premium was also an exceptional lager. Well done for having such a variety of great beers. The food, I had seared chicken, my daughter the beef and ale pie and my wife the stroganoff, ALL these meals were cooked to perfection, tasted delicious and were full plates of filling and tasty food. Thank you Marie, your excellent staff and...
Read moreDecided to go into this venue after not going there since before lockdown. Was very impressed by the vibe of the place and there were a lot of people in there ordering food. Managed to find a table despite it being very busy (always a good sign when you see others ordering food etc) Decided to take the plunge and ordered the steak and ale pie with mash and gravy. It came within a short while and was served with fresh vegetables. It has to be one of the best pies I have ever tasted. The pastry was every bit as delicious as the pie itself. Everything else on the plate was very tasty too,as was the gravy. The service was excellent and very professional. All the staff were very polite and friendly. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this venue for a drink and a meal when you are in Bridgnorth. Can't wait for a...
