Well it's a lovely big space, and being next to the river it's very pretty- however the portaloos are dirty and there's no free parking for Blue Badge holders.
It's reasonably accessable for a wheelchair / mobility scooter user, although there are big potholes in the gravelled parking area and the grass in the play area is pretty uneven - I find it very uncomfortable to go over and flares up my pain after.
The kid's play area is ok but there's really not much there, and for the size of the park it's certainly not a patch on the play areas over at Telford town centre which are outstanding by comparison and well worth the journey over. Clearly the local authorities here don't value kid's play as much as those over in Telford...
There is some exercise equipment nearer the river which our kids prefer as the new equipment is far more exciting than the play area.
What a shame that more isn't made of this space as there is so much potential to create something really wonderful here for Bridgnorth and...
Read moreWonderful, clean, and lots of smaller shops, the folk that reside there are very friendly and helpful, we are both in our mid 70s and parked at the river park on the lower town, not having been before we eventually found the hill lift , which was a lovely stroll from the river park. Unfortunately we had no cash with us , but a very and understanding lady offered us the cash, we were bowled over by this wonderful gesture , and the lady who at 1st would not give us her name , took the lift along with us. We were so grateful for this very kind act, as we had never even met before. Any way we found out where the lady worked, found a cash point and gave the lady her money back, The lady concerned was called Mandy and works at The Grape Tree opposite the Town hall. We thanked her for her kindness , but feel that she should be given an accolade for her public spirit and kindness. Regards Bruce and Jackie Williams ...
Read moreLovely little play area. Fenced and cattle-gridded off, so no dogs can go in. Perfect for those who are scared of dogs!
Lovely big grassed area too, used as an over-spill car park, picnic site, kite-flying area or the like.
Some wooden benches around the far area, near to the river. Also, an exercise equipment area down the far end, for ages 14 years and over, which is free to use.
Couple of porta-loos on site.
An ice-cream van is sometimes there but his prices are high!
A nice walk along the riverside, sometimes there are ducks nearby. So, it maybe worth taking some duck food with you.
Absolutely lovely as is but there is potential for more, to make it...
