The Swinging Witch — Restaurant in England

This will be a long one! Went here for karaoke with a friend for our first night out out since the before times. Had an absolute blast. Probably would have felt that way anywhere, but the reasons for 5* are as follows:

I ordered the wrong wine in error. Took the sealed bottle back to the bar and the bar manager swapped it, no problem. That is above and beyond in my opinion, as it's a consumable. My friend went to the bathroom and while she was there, a young man started harassing me. As a strong, middle-aged woman, I can handle this kind of thing, but he was relentless. I spoke to a young chap who was collecting glasses and within seconds, security arrived and removed the gentleman. They then checked I was okay and if I needed anything. My friend was ahem unwell (as middle-aged women, we forgot we weren't as capable as we were in our twenties). The security guy had seen me with her, came and got me so I could take care of her, then helped my husband and I get her safely into his car (yay for partners who volunteer to be your taxi). The owner of the bar spoke to me after the gentleman that had harassed me earlier was removed from the pub entirely for doing the same to someone else to make sure I was okay. That was so kind, and unnecessary, but made me feel like I was a valued customer, even though I had never been there before!

I came here on Saturday night, was playing on one of the fruit machines. I had £36 in my balance at the time of me playing on some free spins. I hit a jackpot of £100 and after this happened the machine froze. A manager then came over to speak to me and said if you want it sorting then ring the number on the side alternatively write your number on here (some till roll) and we will get the maintenance man to ring you. I’ve rang the company and they said the machine doesn’t belong to them it’s rented out to the pub. So you will need to contact them. After 3 days of ringing and no answer to the pub I rang the brewery. Now they are saying that they need me to wait until next Wednesday (20/12/23) for them to investigate this further. I won the money fair and square and it now seems they don’t want to pay it to me. I WOULD PROBABLY AVOID...

Really nice now it been done up and prices are really good too. However there is definitely improvement needed on the service department. Asked if we could order food at 18:20 knowing that the kitchen closed at 19:00. They told us yeah and that somebody would be back in a minute. 20 minutes later nobody had come back so I went up to the bar at 18:40 and asked if our table could order food and they told us no because the kitchen was closed. Drinks also took half an hour to arrive at 1 point. Swining witch is a really nice place to go with a big variety of drinks at a reasonable price however needs improvement with...
