Absolutely disgusted with the service from Kanya today. My husband and I order every week from this restaurant and spend over Ā£100 every month. I ordered a Kanya Deluxe which is fresh smoked salmon with scrambled egg. The way it was delivered on the plate meant the salmon was cooked by the egg. Anyone who knows this type of dish knows the salmon should not be cooked! I phoned to ask for a replacement and I was point blank refused. The lady on the phone ( the manager) was rude and even when I pointed out how often we spend with them she still refused to replace the meal. My family run a chain of restaurants throughout the UK so I know what good customer service is. Poor customer service happens anytime your business fails to meet a customerās expectations. It could be the quality of service your customer received, how long it takes for you to answer their phone call, or just their overall experience with your brand. This is what happened in this case. A result of bad customer service as you should be aware, is customers moves their business to a competitor and unhappy customers tell friends and family about their negative experience. More importantly, you lose money. For the sake of an Ā£8.50 replacement you have just lost Ā£100 of revenue per month. When my husband called back the manager she even put the phone down on him. Nagendra Prasad I would welcome a candid conversation...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe booked a table for a trial weekend evenings (after the pina colada festival) and there were a reasonable number of other people eating. We provided the following feedback on the night... Food was great, we shared poppadoms, a veg sizzling platter (only issue was that is was advertised as a meal for one or as a starter for 2 and there was 2 of everything but the samosa which was the hardest to divide), chilli chicken and lamb biryani (we took half of this home for lunch the next day), washed down with large bottles of Cobra. If we hadn't booked and knew where it was it isn't very obvious that it's there and open (I think the windows may be tinted and the sign/door is hidden behind bushes) so that's something that can attract customers going forward. Also the atmosphere needs to change, everything was the same as when it's a cafe during the day, so the lighting needs to be less bright and the tables could do with cloths/runners and the ketchup/mayonnaise etc. Sachets removed to lift it up to an evening venue. Nothing that can't easily be changed so I'm sure it will be a success when it moves to being a permanent evening restaurant. We look forward to returning...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWell, it was a Bank holiday Monday and my wife and I decided on a local lunch and I knew about kanya. Soo, we dropped in. Not busy, we got a table and the server was quick to ask about drinks. OK so far. I ordered their burger with crispy bacon and cheese. My, wife fajitas. We finished our drinks and waited for our meals. And waited. Eventually our meals arrived. The bacon on my burger was cooked but far from crispy. I asked the server if it was supposed to be crispy - she took it away. When it came back it was crispy but also dried out. The burger was OK but also a bit on the dry side. My wife's fajitas was salty. So not a great experience. Everyone I saw was young, no "adults" so I didn't see any point in...
