Very disappointed l. Was excited as all lit up and we were hungry after the lights. Seeing a few people in the queue was reassuring but sadly….
The cheese and onion home made pie was sloppy and very salty and a weird taste? I couldn’t eat it. The chips tasted strange too like the oil they used was a cheap oil and it made me feel quite sick afterwards.
4 sausage chips and pie and gravy £16 odd nope won’t be going there again and especially because ……
they were giving out plastic forks like they were going out of fashion and I would have expected a little bit more respect for our oceans seeing as though it is right next to one.
Too much plastic… plastic tray for the pie unnecessary… plastic tray for the tiny portion of chips.. unnecessary… plastic tray for the sausages.. unnecessary ….. and then yep you guessed it all wrapped up in a plastic bag….very poor behaviour for our planet. 👎👎👎 🌎
Even if the food were nice I wouldn’t go back because of all the plastic these people are throwing out into our planet 🌎 👎👎👎
Will be using the nicer chippies close by and in Cleveleys centre...
Read moreOkay so they said it was due to the season, but this is not the case for the chippy found in our extended family. So.. it was busy, nice sunny day, two young boys serving very polite and service was great. Although the lady from the back brought through a curry she had just made (chip shop curry so just powder and water) as they ran out before my order. Despite the poor boys every effort to make the visit pleasant the wait time for the blackened chips was ridiculous, the curry was nothing more than coloured water (my teens words) and the home made meat and potato pie needs some flavouring, maybe even just some salt and I'm pretty sure the pastry wasn't home made either definitely not as nice as advertised and if they did win chippy of the year a few years back they defo had different cook and routine. It's apparently connected to Bispham kitchens, the food is NOT. But then it's been a minute since I've visited there and it wasn't always a great service maybe the two should merge they'd have nice food with good service....

The process is quick and they seem to use home made pies and puddings with the typical home made chippy chips not the frozen kind.
£2.80 for a 12 oz steak pudding and gravy is my item of choice, wife gets a steak pie for £2.60 and a large chips at £2.80 to share coming to £8.20 cheaper and fresher than a Maccies of KFC. They take card or cash payments for convenience.
The pies and puddings are one of best portion and taste wise I've found; fully loaded with meat rather than gravy (this can mean it's a bit dry without buying extra gravy).
The place looks clean and all in all its a pleasant experience with a tasty meal.
My only complaint about this place is the chips can really be hit and miss but I still eat them and go back for more another day so can't...
