Horrendous customer service.

Recently made a booking for close to 60 people to celebrate the retirement of a family member, deposits had been made as requested and we were told that the remainder could be paid on the evening of the meal. My family member received a call on the week of the meal, the manager demanded that the entirety of the order be paid for in full before the evening or we would not be allowed to attend and the police would be called (though I’m unsure what this would have achieved). The way the manager chose to conduct themselves was disgusting and caused a great deal of distress ahead of what should have been a pleasant occasion. People were travelling from outside of the city and had booked hotels for the evening, only to be let down on the week of the meal due to the manager and their vile attitude. We were only a few people short of filling the entire venue, but were told we couldn’t bring any decorations for the evening due to the fact that there may be a couple of customers attending that were not a part of our party, we accepted this and were happy to proceed with the booking but to turn away this amount of business on a week day is absolute lunacy.

The manager seemed to take a great deal of pleasure in causing this distress, making threats down the phone as to what would happen if we did not pay for the booking in full before the evening or if we did not cancel. I can only assume that despite us making the booking well in advance, they were underprepared and in a state of panic, decided that this would be the best course of action to take to prevent us from attending and save themselves the embarrassment of delivering a poor evening. I can only hope that the food and other aspects of this venue is better than their customer service, otherwise I fear that it is equally vile and...

OMG what a bad experience!!! It started off with all the right intentions, pre booked arrived early spoke to a really accommodating member of staff explained we were early and would like a drink outside before sitting down at the table for the meal.

We finished our drinks made our way back into the restaurant and waited to be greeted by all I can describe is a very rude skinny brown haired member of the team telling us not to queue in the restaurant?? What should we do wave from the car??

Then we were told to vacate the table by 7pm so within the space of two minutes she had undone all the hospitality and warm welcome given by the previous member of staff?!?!

Following this warm welcome NOT I and my family no longer felt hungry enough to eat in there restaurant what a place avoid when cruella is on shift we have had many a good time in the Village Green I think it’s time for a staff clear out or risk losing...

I like this establishment and have never been disappointed. There is plenty of parking and tables outside if the weather is good. We went in one evening in July. It is clearly popular and it may be wise to reserve a table. The service is welcoming, cheerful and efficient. The food is brought to your table. We had tea which comes in big pots and is hot. We only wanted a sweet and those on offer at £4.95 were attractively presented and tasty. Good value! I can certainly recommend the salted caramel cheesecake with ice cream and mixed fruit and my daughter enjoyed her chocolate fudge cake. The menu is extensive with a section for children and is suitable for vegetarians. It does not provide fine dining but what you get is very enjoyable and reasonably priced. I have heard very good reports of and intend to return to sample both the afternoon tea and...

Really lovely food with big portion sizes. Visited on a mid week evening with 2 friends and we all enjoyed our meals and food choices. The restaurant was full @ 6.30pm..an equal mix of families, couples and friend groups - so the noise levels were a bit high at first, but that receded after about an hour as some family tables departed. A licenced bar which has well priced drinks and we also had free water with our meals. Counter service so easy to self serve when ready to order. Food came reasonably quickly and was hot. Will visit again but maybe choose a later time into the evening for a more romantic and quieter atmosphere if with my partner.

Went for a little get together with work friends and it was definitely a wonderful little spot beautiful inside the staff were very polite and the food was to die for the way it looks outside and in I was expecting it to be a little on the pricey side but it was so cheap for the service and quality of food you get I had the lunch menu and will definitely be back for the dinner menu it was superb in every way i highly reccomend this place 👌😁
