The White Lion — Restaurant in England

Astonishingly unfriendly, aggressive and cold.

Checked whether pub had car park over phone and no mention of pub being full. Arrived at pub with mixed race group. Turned away rudely, abruptly and aggressively because pub was apparently full.

Most seats empty. Walked past later after a lovely meal at The Market House; The White Lion was almost empty.

At best, we were treated with rudeness and aggression, which was completely unnecessary if the pub was full. At worst, we were turned away on the basis of racism. I can't know which of these reasons led to the rude treatment, but whatever it was a disappointing experience and I would not...

So the website says open till 11pm and I go there a lot play pool have few drinks but today we got to the door and a girl comes up to me and friends saying they have closed the tills at 8:30 but they are still serving people in there the atmosphere is always dead feels like a funeral constantly getting doggy looks by the bartender she is very rude even tho we sit in the corner no shouting no acting bad just chilling and kicks us out very early even tho...

First time coming here, we were given the menus and were told “we’re busy today so we are limiting the menu” which we were disappointed about as the menu wasn’t that big anyway. We were a family of 4, 2 of us enjoyed our meals where the other 2 didn’t (not cooked properly) we did mention it to the waitress and she took it off the bill which we were grateful about. The pub itself is lovely...
