Just left and let me say, the food is outstanding! Proper old school no messing about no fancy garnishes just proper home cooked grub. Pub is old but it adds to the character, we loved looking at all the different paintings and pictures on the walls. Very clean, I wiped down the table and highchair when I arrived out of habit and I hadn't needed to as it was already clean. Owner and barman were lovely and welcoming. There is a bit of a wait for the food but that's because it's cooked fresh and I'd much prefer to wait than have reheated rubbish. Couldn't fault it and can't wait to go back already!...

An absolutely perfect example of a traditional British pub. A nice place to go for a couple of drinks in a peaceful, relaxing atmosphere. The decor looks like it hasn't changed much in the last century, but that suits the place perfectly well as modernising this establishment would completely ruin the character of it. Not only was the food lovely but the service was outstanding. We took my daughter for Sunday lunch yesterday & she was really struggling to sit at a table due to there being people around her. This was due to her having autism which the staff weren’t aware of yet they offered us the full conservatory to ourselves to help settle her.
