This was a surprise visit by me, my brother and sister in law lived a short walk away when the general hospital and the football ground was there. It was early evening and the place was hooching, you'd think it was throwing out time not six o'clock-ish. Lot of noise level, the reason being £2 a pint and it was beautiful. There looked to be a lot of planned activities going on by the notices spread about. Went in last night with 3 friends at 6:45pm. There was no parmos chicken or pork there was also no pizzas or vegetarian options. The only saving grace was they rustled up a jacket potato for our vegetarian friend. My meal come out cold it looked like it ha been sat quite a while before I received it. Also the bar maid was more interested in speaking to her friend at the end of the bar than serving us. Sorry, it's a bit of a story, but.... I came here for food a few months ago and was served the wrong steak, badly cooked, and took ages. My most recent visit could not be further from this. I don't know if there is a newish menu or new chef, but the food was fabulous! The order was slightly wrong as I ordered fries and was served chips. However, the chips were awesome.
