First time visiting The Zetland Cafe. Excellent full English breakfast with quality ingredients. I'm no fan of sausages but these were perfect! Lovely tasty bacon, and a perfectly cooked egg. Proper mushrooms and the most delicious black pudding. Even the toast is good quality and thickly sliced. Plus a free tea or coffee of your choice makes this good value. The service is good, attentive but not over the top chatty like some places locally. This place does welcome dogs, and there were around half a dozen when we were there. It's a small place, so you have to be a dog lover or it could be quite annoying with the grumbling between them and coat shaking. We did also find it exceptionally noisy. In fact, probably the noisiest cafe we've ever been in. This is why I've only given 4 stars. We were there at around 11am and will certainly be returning but trying a different time of day as the breakfast is served till 3pm.

What a little gem we stumbled upon! Lovely cafe, and breakfast. It was best we have had anywhere. Top quality ingredients cooked to perfection! Lovely view of the sea which was such a bonus. Such good value having free tea/coffee included! Very dog friendly they all got a sausage (we will bring Pig, our dog next time) Both members of staff we spoke to were extremely friendly, nothing was too much trouble. They even made a card and gave a voucher for one of the the locals when he said he got no cards for his birthday! Beautifully decorated with photos of Redcars Heritage. All food cooked fresh in a very clean well functioning kitchen. Well worth breaking my slimming world diet for!!

What a superb little find, right opposite the beach and dog friendly too. Dog paradise in fact as the doggies get a sausage. This place is well decorated and kept clean and inviting. Really friendly staff, keen to accommodate all your requests and all with a smile. Food well cooked and plentiful. Food quality is superb and value.... well that's quite outstanding. Well worth a visit and opn till 3 every day except Christmas day! Have visited numerous times. and never changes. Always consistent.

My wife and I visited on a Saturday morning shortly after nine. We both ordered a Breakfast and a pot of Tea. The Breakfasts arrived before the Tea (I prefer the Tea to arrive first as it gives it time to brew). The waiter then had to go back and get the cutlery and sauces (again, I would expect this to arrive before the food). The sauces were in packets (Impossible to open with greasy fingers) and the salt was under everything else (wonder how many times the sauces had been out the jar so that people can get to the salt?). We were not warned that the plate was hot, because it wasn't, it was cold, which meant the beans were too, the egg was poached (was there a choice?), being a poached egg water ran from it onto the plate and into the black pudding making it soggy. The rest of the breakfast was tasty but overall, not worth £7.50 (not including Tea) when there are so many cheaper places using better produce in town. Some of the points here are my personal preference, if they are yours please give me a...

Replying to the most recent comment by Michelle nantras. The cafe today was busting at the seams. A queue out the door. They ordered vegan breakfasts which putting aside the other orders takes a little longer prep wise and time to complete. There were 27 orders on tab before the ladies and was informed there would be a lengthy wait longer than 20 miniutes and thats before payment was made. With reference to the car park charge we are happy to give the money back for the extra parking. Also feel free to use the car park next door as its free on a sunday. Also you must have enjoyed the food as your plates were empty. You also seemed happy with us when you left. All we can do is apologise for the wait as we didnt expect such a huge number of customers at once and with only 2 staff this was a stressfull day for us and the waiting customers. Hope to...
