Thai’m you tried this out …

From word of mouth we knew it served vegan options, so don't be put off by the fact there's no mention of a vegan option on their website or even on the menu when you sit down. When we spoke to the waitress, she explained the chef cooks everything fresh, has vegan sauces, vegan pastes and can make almost any dish with either tofu, vegetables or both on request. Also that we didn't have to go by the 'chilli rating' either as the chef can make each dish as spicy as we'd like, and they did just that ...

There are several menus to choose from: Main menu: With dishes 56 different starters, mains and side dishes available. Starters are under £5, soups at £6'ish, mains between £10 and £11 with fish at £12. Ask for vegan and they drop to the veggie price of £8 to £9. Sides are 32 to £4. Lunch Special Menu: 2 courses for £8.95, 3 for £9.95. Tea Time Special Menu: 2 courses for £10.95, 3 for £11.95.

We chose the Tea Time Special Menu asking for everything to be vegan . Spring Rolls: The Spring Rolls were just what I'd expect and with their sweet chili sauce, they did not disappoint. Tom Kha Kai: The star of the show was the Tom Kha Kai - Hot and sour mushroom soup with Thai herbs in coconut milk. It was really nice and I'd have gladly had it as a main. T1 Paneang Curry: For mains we chose the T1 Paneang Curry, which is normally rated as '1 chilli' but we asked for it with a rating of '5 chillies'. With its fine beans, lime leaves, chilli, red peppers, green peppers and creamy coconut sauce, they nailed the spice. It was hot and spicy but not to the point where it ruined the flavour. Accompanied with boiled rice it was creamy, spicy and perfect. T3 Pad Med: Next was the T3 Pad Med, a stir fry (where they replaced the oyster sauce with a vegan sauce) of garlic, onion, red peppers, green peppers, carrot, spring onion and cashew nuts. Accompanied by sticky rice I wondered how it would taste without using oyster sauce but it was really nice and something I'd have again. All washed down with Thai beer, it was a really nice meal. We will be back to try out the rest of the dishes as the chef did a superb job of making really delicious...

I cannot genuinely leave a review for the food as i have sadly never tasted it but i really must leave a review as i experienced such fantastic service from this restuarant tonight i wanted to share. I live in Wales, tonight i was hungry and was advised to try the new Thai takeaway down the road from me called Lemongrass. Very excited at the prospect i googled the name found a website and preceeded to place my order for collection, having placed my order and approved my payment i suddenly realised that in my haste to get my delicious Thai meal i had placed an order in a restaurant 287 miles away. Immediately, and rather embarrassed i rang the restaurant and explained my stupid error and was expecting them to tell me there is nothing they can do about it and that having spent my takeaway money on a delicious Thai curry nearly 300 miles away tonights dinner was going to be beans on toast. However what i experienced was a delightful young lady who didnt think i was a total wally, who did everything she could to try and cancel my order and eventually bank transferred me back my money all in all only took her about 10 mins start to finish and was so lovely and paitent she was wonderful to deal with. If i am ever in Redcar this will be the first...

Well, lemongrass has modernised into the 21st century we discovered on this visit. We haven't been for a short while. Possibly since just before Christmas. The place has a cosier feel and the staff are friendly and helpful as always. I fancied a change from my usual dish so ordered the Chu Chee. The taste was absolutely lovely and would definitely have it again. It definitely needed more veg in it though and the 5 prawns that came with it were tiny. To reflect competitor dishes, it needs decent sized tiger prawns and a couple more in there. My boyfriends green curry tasted different than it usually does but he still enjoyed it and got plenty with it. Lemongrass, Thai Basil in Skipton, and Rim Nam Thai in Hebden Bridge are my favourite thai restaurants. Keep up the amazing tasting dishes with plenty of veg and don't change the...

Absolutely fantastic visit tonight. Arrived at 5pm tonight. One couple went in before us. my friend went for the early bird meal deal with 2 courses for £9.95. It was excellent value for money. From the a la carte, I had Dim Sum for starters and Jungle Curry for the main with coconut rice. I can honestly say it was the best dish outside of Thailand and I have been to a lot of Thai restaurants! Never have I experienced a dish with such a huge amount of different vegetables and perfectly cooked to the spice level I requested. The service was impeccable and massive thanks go to Aliyah for her excellent service. We left just after 6pm and it was not surprising to see how busy it was. We will be back tomorrow.
