No so family friendly.
Me and my partner recently had a child, and decided a date night was well over due, and have both been wanting to try here for a while, I asked if it was child friendly (we took our newborn) before getting seated and everything seemed fine with that, the woman seating us was amazing I wish I got her name but but I can’t stress enough how amazing her service was, she offered a more private table temporarily if I needed to breastfeed, which I thought was very considerate since we were sat at a window table, we ordered our food and drinks which honestly is possibly the best ramen we have had, the food was amazing, we decided we wanted to try some sushi but my baby needed feeding so I asked if I could take them up on the offer of a more private area, I was sat in a corner seat out the way which was perfect I faced the corner of the wall to not make any other customers feel uncomfortable, and a delivery box was shoved in front of me, at this point it felt like we were just being rushed out, the asked my partner to pay the bill, even tho we wernt finished ordering, they told him they would help move our stuff to the new table which just made us feel like they wanted us out of there, I mentioned we weren’t quite finished ordering but we were told we couldn’t order more since the table we were moved to was booked for 20 minutes, I’m very disappointed with the way it was handled, I would of been more than happy to feed in the toilets if it was a problem, it was quite...
Read moreThe place is quite small. Only had a couple of tables but still felt crowded. The waitress led us to our table and left some menus. Around 15 minutes in, she still didn’t come back to take our orders or even our drink orders. I had to call her and ask her to take them. The service was really slow. There was no check-backs. The portions of food were very small for the prices. There’s no set menu. Food was okay, just okay. The sushi was not cut properly. The food came out slowly as well. My cucumber maki came last even though it’s one of the quickest and easiest to make. I even had to double check on the order to see if they haven’t forgotten it. By the time it came to the table, I lost my appetite. They were very slow to clear tables so we were surrounded with empty tables and empty dishes. The server was wiping tables with a spray and a dirty cloth when I had asked her if I could take the remainder of my food away. She went back behind the open kitchen and I thought she would at least wear gloves or wash her hands before she moved my food from the plate to the take away box. Too bad, was looking forward to eating here. We love Japanese cuisine, especially sushi, so it was very disappointing. I honestly think the place is understaffed or the staff...
Read moreupdated review Nov 2022 1 year later and I decided to come back here in hope it was just a bad experience... WRONG. The female manager was very rude. Laughed when I didn't know the Japanese terms for some of the items on the menu and got very argumentative when I ordered with her and she got my order wrong. I ordered 2 rolls and edamame for take away, very simple. I was told it was an hour wait. For sushi? Got there half hour early and the restaurant was almost empty. My rolls looked like they had been made by a child and the portion sizes looked like they were for a child. Photos attached. I paid £25 for 2 rolls and edmame. Unfortunately for me I will no longer be returning as it's safe to say the level of quality, quantity and service has gone down hill in the past year or so. AVOID.
September 2021 I eat here often and have always loved the service and food although I took my partner here last week and the new staff on shift were not dressed very smartly and the food was not that great. My order came out incorrectly yet I was still asked to pay full price. The fish in the rolls was very small especially for the price paid. Shame as I used to highly recomend and have previously...
