We tried eating here during a recent visit to Middlesbrough. The menu was terrible with a bad selection of dishes and a distinct lack of fish choices. It looked to me like a trainee chef wrote the menu as whoever did has no idea what they are doing. When we tried to ask the server questions about the fish specials, it was good Friday so they had some on. We were told "Cod" I asked how it was served and was told "with chips" The music was far too loud for dining and the servers clueless and with such a bad menu we decided to dine elsewhere. My daughter and I returned for late drinks the following night and found the place to be good for a few drinks. The door staff were very friendly though the place was very quiet for a bank holiday Saturday night. In my professional opinion they really need to sort out their menu choices, how it is presented and train their staff properly. With so much excellent competition so close they won't survive if they don't up their game dramatically. Avoid if you are looking to dine out though give it a go for a drink or two.

Read more2nd time here for works night. 1st time was absolutely amazing. This time, not so much. 11 of us got there for 4-6. First drinks at 16:15. Third drinks at 17:10. Our server went AWOL. Asked staff to find him. 2 members of staff (later on he said he was at bar serving drinks which he wasn't cos we checked) Had to ask for our food to be ordered with 3rd drinks. Did not ask us. Was sat there for 15 minutes with no drinks. I asked bar staff if we could have prosecco between drinks and as we appreciated it was busy. 2 staff said yes, guy serving us said no. Then asked them to quicken up- which they did towards end. We had 6 drinks in hour's. They kept saying we had 7 drinks which was average- which we didn't. But there is NO AVERAGE in bottomless brunch. Guy who took money said we could have shots but then changed his mind because our server said we'd lied. Staff accused of shouting though there was a live band on and you had to raise voice to speak. Just a total opposite of our first visit earlier in the day with a female server. Wouldn't go again after 4pm. Too many people in and cant get...
