It was very quiet inside on a sunny Friday evening. Staff were very friendly on arrival and throughout. The burger and chips were lovely, well cooked and arrived quickly. There were two ciders on in the evening, both of which were also nice. The relish with the burger and the chilli sauce for the halloumi fries came in a reusable pot, the ketchup and mayo in individual sachets. Please consider the single use waste this produces when you already have appropriate multiple use pots on site. If you are a vegetarian you may wish to question the menu in more detail. E.g. the macaroni cheese is stated as topped with Grana Padano which is a protected destination of origin cheese and uses rennet in its production. It may be that a cheese in the Grana Padano style is switched in on request to make this a vegetarian dish.

What a lovely pub, service was spot on, very polite and friendly staff, great range of drinks especially the local 'Bollington brewery' 👍, I have to say very clean, the staff were straight on it when a table became empty cleaning them ready for the next customer 👍, We will definitely be returning as we called in on our weekend away. Dog friendly..🙂 The food is very very nice, we had a sandwich with skin on fries, but I'll be back to definitely try the pies as they too looked amazing, great choice on the menu and a specials board.. On a hot day the beer garden is great as it overlooks the cricket ground as we sampled the beer the day before as the sun was shining ☀️😁 . Would recommend you'll not be disappointed. Keep up the great work 🍻 thanks..

A fab little pub in the centre of the village. There's plenty of parking out the back, with a large seating area overlooking the cricket club. You have to walk a few yards down the main street to get to the pub, but it's no real hassle. If you're lucky, like we were, there may be a cricket match on. The staff were fantastic - so friendly and nothing too much trouble. A real credit to the place. We ordered a pie and (from the specials) a lasagne. Both were excellent. I wish I could give this place 4.5 stars rather than just 4. We will definitely return.

My partner and I went there one afternoon. Place was full. We were placed at the end of a long table, and served "Sunday Roast", which turned out to be the worst roast I have ever been served in a restaurant. And this restaurant is supposed to be of a decent standard! Roast potatoes were almost completely burnt, and hard as rocks, fit only for the bin. The Yorkshire pudding was burnet, impossible to put the knife through, and looked like a piece of an old dark brown boot! My partner could not bear to eat more than a couple of mouthfuls, and she did not want anything else instead, as she was disgusted by the food given to her, and the whole place! Not surprising, we have crossed it out of our list of places to...
