Bollington Recreation Ground — Attraction in Bollington

Bollington recreation ground is a large open space within the centre of Bollington. There are two car parks that get very busy at the weekend, disabled parking and access is available. In the summer months cricket is played most weekends. During non covid times there are public toilets, however they are currently closed as at July 2021. Roughly every four years the recreation ground is host to the big tents of the Bollington Festival. The grounds are suitable for family picnics, a rug and/or folding chairs are recommended. Tennis courts are available to hire via the Leisure centre. There is a bowling green used by the local club. Great community space. There is a cricket pitch and tennis courts. A dog training class going on yesterday and popular for picnics in the summer and other events. The Vale has a beer garden overlooking it and there is a play park, skatepark and toilets (daytime only) just across the road. A path runs all the way around, (including a few steps), over a bridge and through some trees along the shallow river....

A nice little park nestled in the hills in Bollington. There is a swing set and a few other bits of play apparatus, a few skate ramps, benches and a little path up onto the Middlewood way. It is right along a big bridge, so you can climb up the path and admire the view from atop, or stop off at the park during a bike ride.
