The volunteer arms is a traditional pub. There is a wide choice of beers, lager and cider on offer, but sadly, no hand-pulled cask, conditioned real ales. There's a comfortable bar with a dartboard and a separate cosy lounge. The staff are friendly and welcoming, and there is an outside seating area behind the pub. Free on street parking.

Lovely place with nice staff & the food was great! Food comes in a street box so you can take home any food you were not able to finish.

The new owner to take over the pub has done an absolute fantastic job at turning the place around. Whereas before I would barely hear anything about the pub, completely forgetting it existed, now they seem to be doing some event every week bringing in a fun and friendly atmosphere.

The switch to more bar food rather than full meals has freed up alot of stress in the kitchen and allowed them to increase quality, while I'm not sure if it's up and running yet I look forward to seeing it finished and trying some snacks from the simpler menu. (P.s the hand pulled ales are both cheap and definitely worth the try)

The service is possibly the best reason I'd personally choose there, the new owner, Chris, is clearly very passionate about the place and it shows in his service always taking the time to chat to newcomers and regulars alike and just all-round an amazing fit...

One of the most tasteful, classy, cosey places to ever visit from Sunday to Thursday. The food is second to none. Not only compared to other options within the town itself, but within the whole North Lincolnshire. However if you are after amazing service, food and nice family day out. I would only recommend to pay a visit between the Sunday and Thursday. Friday's and Saturdays always attract a much louder youthful crowd to appeal to the night life. Really impressed with. 5 stars and...

Changed hands a few times in the last year but settling in with the new landlords and a very new style and atmosphere.

Can be abit loud on Friday/Saturday nights but worthy of my custom as they are friendly, good range of lagers/ales/spirits/wines.

I have been told and seen the food now available, never hearing a bad thing about it will have to try as the prices are...
