Waffles & Chill — Restaurant in England

Food never arrived. Staff were extremely rude and toxic over the phone. Claimed to be too busy to deal with my order so they would ring me back within 30 minutes - over 2 hours later, still no call, so I rang them again and whoever answered the phone was incredibly rude and clearly had an attitude. They told me to come up and have a face to face confrontation at their shop or lose my money, then hung up.

Due to their threatening behaviour over the phone, I didn't feel comfortable going in person. I'm currently out of pocket £24 for goods that were not delivered.

Speaking of delivery, the staff claimed that they attempted to deliver my food, but that when they knocked on my door a man answered and said they'd got the wrong house. For some reason, they think that I would order food, prepaid, wait for it to come, reject it on the doorstep, then ring them up later asking where my food is. That's definitely the more likely scenario -- as opposed to them going to the wrong house?

All I asked was they redeliver what I'd paid for, as they had clearly gone to the wrong house. But that was met with hostility and attitude and they refused to rectify the issue. The food here, especially the smash burgers, are pretty amazing, I'm not gonna lie. They're the reason we came back. The only downside to this place is the prices. We ordered 2 meals and 2 desert waffles, and it came in at over £30. As much as the burgers blow my mind, I'm not entirely sure I'll be back. Sorry, guys!
