Had my first ever Wendy's today and it's left me conflicted. I ordered via UberEats for home delivery. The cons: So first of all it's quite expensive for the portion sizes and the quality. Secondly i had 2 items missing both from the Biggie Meal which were Spicy Nugs and Medium Fries. Coffee machine was broken so my Frosticcino was replaced with a Chocolate Frosty (not unhappy with the substitute but the Frosticcinos should be made unavailable if the coffee machines broken). The Signature Chicken Wrap is like a snack wrap, so for just short of £4 it's practically theft. My Baconator burger did not come as asked for with the removal of mayo and it looked like someone pissed ketchup all over it, but in a weird twist of events the mayo saved it making the ketchup creamy and in turn preventing the ketchup from overpowering the burger. Pretty sure there was less than the stated 6 slices of bacon in it and its chewy not crispy like it looks in the picture. The chilli beef fries are tiny for £6 and the chilli is watery as hell. Frostys do not come as big as you think which is only bad for the price point because they are quite rich.
The pros. They wrote an apology on the bag for the frosticcino not being available and replaced it with the closest substitute available. They wrote Matthew have a beautiful day on the food bag (which was kind of in vain considering that bag was short of 2 items) All the food was nice apart from the chilli on the fries. Beef burgers are of better quality than Mcdonalds. Frostys are especially nice.
The cons seriously outweigh the pros. Food is expensive for the portion sizes, had missing items, special instructions were not followed, sauces were applied in excessive amounts and the chilli fries came drowned in a pool of water.
They can definitely improve on presentation and be more vigilant in making sure the orders are fulfilled. Price wise you're better off going to dope burger and spending £2-£3 more for a mich higher...
Read moreOrdered via Uber eats app. Large frosty drink was not delivered. The delivery guy said he hadn’t been given it and said we would have to call the restaurant. Rand the restaurant and spoke to Kat, and was told they had definitely given it to the driver and they had photos to prove it. I asked how this would help me, and was told not their problem as they gave it to the driver, and I would have to call Uber eats. I asked for the photo to be sent to me, and gave my number, and it was not. Could not speak to anyone at Uber Eats as you need an account with a phone number, which I don’t have. Wendy’s was so unhelpful, and their only response was like a child trying to shift the blame, ‘ well we gave it so it’s not our fault, you’ll have to sort it out’ When I’ve had similar incidents with other retailers they have apologised and rectified the issue - it’s called good...
