Caffè Nero — Restaurant in Epping Forest

I will never set foot in this place again! Just this morning I sat in the shop and there were two ladies there who were clearly ill, kept coughing and sneezing and were making everybody around uncomfortable.I have discreetly informed the staff about it , and one of them, a large, mouthy lady barista, told me that if I had a problem with that, I should take it up with them myself,or just move somewhere else! The tone of voice was far from nice, she practically shouted at me!. Imagine now if some vulnerable people get sick as a result of this, in these scary times of pandemic!! The staff should be there to ensure the safety of their customers! And to be safe themselves too, since they are serving so many people and could potentially infect so many others! The store is small, clean, tidy, bright, vibrant, comfortable and colourful. The staff are friendly, well mannered, professional, sociable, respectful, understanding, welcoming and knowledgeable about their product. The price is overpriced for food and drink but it is good quality and I paid £2.25 Belgian chocolate and crispy caramel. It is sweet, flavourful, delicious, chocolatey, crunchy, caramel and mouthwatering which is good. Ludicrous that Caffè Nero are contributing to a cashless society. No signage at tills to say no cash taken. Food wastage - as it had already gone into the grill when they refused my cash! Which means it was then thrown out! An appalling waste! And just a shrug of the shoulders from the barista! My bank card is lost and the small amount of cash I have is all I have until the card arrives. Terrible service, terrible attitude of staff and WILL NOT be returning.
