Costa Coffee — Restaurant in Epping Forest

We have been coming here for years. Today was an experience that, that kind of worker shouldn’t be allowed in customer service. Her name was Greta/Gena Im not sure, she’s albanian. My 2y daughter spilled some water and even though I was going to clean it myself, she came over and said the worst words that you could possibly say. Demanding that kids are not allowed here. That we HAVE to clean it as obligation and said she’d force us. I always clean it. Even when I come in and the table is already dirty from previous customers, I clean it up and never asked for any of the service team to come over. The baby change too is a lot of the time dirty previously, I clean it up for my daughter and after Im done too. I do not come there to be talked down like that for absolutely no reason by anyone. That behaviour is unacceptable and I hope you take measures for that. We were keeping our calm despite her nasty words, but best believe that any other customer would have grabbed her hair out...

It is a lovely coffee place. But in recent days I have experienced very impolite behaviour from one of the staff members. I paid for a Maple Hazelnut Latte and then asked if I could get it done using Soy milk. She was grumpy about it and said it doesn’t state soy milk in the order she received on the screen. I told that I am happy to pay any extra. She was like next time you need to tell properly but this time it’s fine. People who work in customer service can be a lot more polite and customer friendly. The costa itself is good, however beware of parking in the waitrose car park directly opposite if you plan on staying longer than an hour and a half, i didnt see the hour and a half warning and have since recieved a £95 fine!!!
