Dada Cafe — Restaurant in Epping Forest

Dada Cafe is undoubtedly the best coffee shop in the area, providing lattes, teas, and delicious light bites to the gentle flow of discerning locals and commuters headed to or from the nearby Epping station. Offering some truly exquisite single origin coffees, this cosy cafe is warm, honest, and affordable. The service is friendly, almost familial; and it's clear that the baristas here sincerely care about their customers' experience. Unfortunately, while capable of true excellence, without a solid foundation of modern techniques, results here can be inconsistent.

With such phenomenal coffees at their disposal, it's a real shame Dada Cafe don't let the quality of their ingredients speak for themselves. Regrettable consequences include: serving 'iced-cappuccinos' to customers who don't know any better, and dusting their more traditional hot cappuccinos with flakes of freeze-dried raspberry as standard.

The coffee is excellent. Not sure I can claim "the best in the area" not having visited all the establishments but still excellent. Their cake range offered, like their menu, is limited but all very high quality. The staff are all very helpful and friendly. Space is limited especially around lunch time so try to get in early. Don't order the mint tea. This consists of three mint leaves in hot water. But to be fair, when I complained, this was taking off the bill and I was offered a replacement. Nice atmosphere, friendly staff. The food is good, a little pricey but not unusual for Epping. There's usually a gluten free cake or brownie. They know about the coffees they're selling. The tea is loose leaf, unlike all other cafés in Epping. It's a bit small, so you may be waiting a while for a table.
