Wow..... what an experience! A colleague and I heard whispers that a boujee cafe nearby had just had a revamp, so decided to see what all the fuss was about ourselves.
As soon as we walked through the door, we were instantly greeted by a warm smile as we were escorted to our seats. As we gandered over the menu, we were struck by some overwhelming prices. However, as you can see by the picture provided, this is justified by the monstrous amount of food in each serving.
I opted for the 'club', and must admit, I was swept off my feet. A bed of crunchy sourdough gets mounted by fresh avocado, succulent salad, some beautifully crisp bacon, topped of with some chicken covered in sesame seeds. A perfectly cooked boiled egg gets halved and placed at either end of the bread, then it's finished with their spicy mayo, which tied the entire dish together flawlessly. My colleague was almost in tears by the end of his.
All in all, I had a great experience in a stunning establishment which oozes class, and will definitely be returning.

Read moreBest coffee in Epping (they use Red Brick by Square Mile on the best commercial machine out there - a La Marzocco - so anyone who knows good coffee knows you can't really go wrong). They're handy with the latte art too so looks as good as it tastes.
Food Menu has been fairly limited up til now - breakfast/brunch place only - but there are new items appearing on the menu now and it has usually been spot on - we love the scrambled egg with feta and seeds we had this morning :-).
Atmosphere - Great vibe, busy and cool interior. The two lads who run it are always smiling and welcoming which probably explains why it's Epping's busiest spot.
Downsides? is that it way too popular so always queue to get a table unless you're there super early in the morning. We've had to walk away on several occasions as got fed up waiting for a table but we always come back and try again!. They need to expand into bigger premises please so never have to again! It is also quite pricey but quality of coffee makes...
Read moreI recently stopped by Fred and Doug’s for coffee and breakfast, and it absolutely lived up to the hype. The coffee was far superior to anything you’d get from a typical high street chain, rich, smooth, and expertly brewed. For breakfast, I went with Doug’s Dish, and it was outstanding. It featured streaky bacon (which I don’t usually enjoy), but this was perfectly crisp and flavorful. The sausages were proper butcher-style, none of those bland, filler-heavy ones you find in too many cafés. It also came with baked beans, a grilled tomato, a large mushroom, sourdough toast, and poached eggs done just right. Every element on the plate was clearly made with care, and the quality really stood out. It’s easily one of the best breakfasts I’ve had in ages, and I’ll definitely be...
