Smaller outlet than most mc ds staff are friendly as with any of these fast food outlets you do come across the odd wooden personality but overall fairly quick service a few smiles for your troubles for taking the time to eat there car park space is limited due to the fact its situated on a retail park so shares its parking with other outlets food is 99% of the time hot just had a few occasions where its been luke warm but the staff will change it for you if your not happy there is a slight sting in the tail though about this review so something to note as the day turns into night time the whole atmosphere does change you get a lot of teenage or early 20s people either on mopeds or small bike trying to do stunts burnouts or just generally being a pain in the arse around the surrounding car park as well as cars parking up music blaring wheel spins and other anti social activities in that bit of the car park they did put a few bumps in the road to stop people using the car park as there own personal race track but inevitably like anywhere they still try so it does tend to make the going out for a bit of peace and quite and enjoying your food somewhat limited shame really cos it's not a bad area just certain people have took it upon themselves...
Read moreordered McDonald’s via just eat, and the order I received was incorrect. I went to the local branch, being Waltham Abbey, so they can help with my order. The label on the bag was my correct order, however the items received inside the bag were incorrect. I explained to your supervisor on shift that the items listed on the receipt (that was attached to the bag), doesn’t match to what is inside. Before I could even saying anything else, she said it’s not our fault you need to speak to the delivery provider. She then later explained that the driver must have taken the receipt off the bag and swapped them over. Your supervisor was finding any excuse, to not even help with my matter. I would seriously reconsider training your staff with customer service and people skills. I had no other option to ask for someone else Senior on shift, as I was getting no help, to which your assistant manager called Holly tried supporting with this. They offered me an orange juice, but no other items on the order. If you’re willing to give me part of the order, why not everything else. I have paid for a service that I didn’t receive, I wasn’t even offered a refund. Absolutely appalled by the way I was treated, will not be using...
Read moreIt's a sad case these days, even the great McDonalds has gone downhill. I went to the Waltham Abbey branch to grab that new Grand Big Mac and to my horror I saw the kitchen staff pulling out a plastic tray and taking out the burger and putting it on the bun. That is seriously wrong!!!
This proves that we are not getting freshly prepared burgers anymore, and considering I used to work for McDonalds, that is bad. In all honesty stick to places like Five Guys, I know their burgers are pricey but at least it gets cooked fresh unlike McDonalds and Burger King.
UPDATE -
I went over to Waltham Abbey's McDonalds this past weekend to grab one of those Grand Big Mac's it just had to be done. Where do I start: nobody serving on till, not enough staff to handle orders, lobby staff enters kitchen area and starts preparing food after cleaning and sweeping in the lobby without washing her hands!!
About 30 minutes total just to receive a burger and fries, and guess what the Grand Big Mac was stone cold. Wanted to complain, but since hardly any staff serving, I thought this will definitely be my final visit to McDs.
Never again, such a disgrace, McDonalds is not what they used to be, no longer the fast food...
