Today we went for breakfast and ordered drinks with pancakes with banana and syrup. The pancakes were cold and chewy so I quietly took them to the pay station and asked for them to be taken off the total bill as they tasted stale and cold. I would not have chosen to do a review if the manager had not done the following and I note I am not the first to comment on her rudeness. She then came to our table and insisted the pancakes were fresh but we should of asked for them to be reheated. She told me they had been in the fridge -and couldn’t I see she was covered in flour. So not fresh , rather pre made hence cold and chewy for the cost of £5. This is like saying “ the tea pot we made it fresh , kept it in the fridge and reheated it to a tepid temperature”Then as if that wasn’t enough when we payed she reiterated that they were fresh and again said we should of asked for them to be reheated. I don’t want reheated food in a place where breakfast should be freshly made. This manager needs to attend a customer service course. I make pancakes fresh from pan to plate. Of course you can keep the batter in the fridge . Shame she was so rude even shouting as I left. Grace is a virtue . Perhaps reflect on your behaviour if you choose to work in the...
Read moreTo either Co-Work, solo work, meet friends, bring my teens (or as they were little for birthday treats and they loved the pic n mix jars!), pop in for a Lavazza on the go, stop for a delicious jacket potato THIS IS YOUR PLACE! Nice, Sara and the whole team are welcoming, warming and very attentive, but not over bearing. I always feel so looked after whether I am popping in on my own or bringing friends. The food is fresh, home cooked and absolutely delicious! We also have a great business collaboration and again, the team are so supportive of the businesses in Ewell Village and beyond in the area. They are the heart of Ewell, a place I lived for 30 years, and they have really bought that evocative, community feel back to the village. Keep doing what you do so...
Read moreThe cafe is very quaint, with a nice menu and in a great location. What lets it down is the lack of a warm welcome from the owner. This person seems disinterested in her customers. There was no “hello” as I looked for a table, or assistance in trying to find a table. She appeared inconvenienced by my husband’s request for menus, and was more interested in whether the people before us had paid for their drinks than acknowledging I wanted to order food- she simply wandered off, and didn’t remove the empty cups from the previous customers either! Despite multiple interactions, she couldn’t recall where we had sat. All Things Grumpy might be a better name for the cafe. Will be the first and last time we go. It’s a shame, as we are local and had heard such...
